Andrew Vladeck
This is a limited-edition, 8-panel digipack with art by Mac Primo, and photos/lyrics ~ it's a beauty. This record received THREE Billboard Song Contest Awards. BIOGRAPHY Singer/Songwriter and native New Yorker Andrew Vladeck is a fixture on the New York music scene, recently winning First Place 2007 International Songwriting Competition and multiple Honors from the Billboard Song Contest. He was voted NYC Band of the Month by readers of The Deli Magazine earlier this year before disappearing into the studio to record a new album. Over the past year, Vladeck has toured from Boston to Chapel Hill and, on the local level, has started performing at the Bowery Ballroom, played the East River Bandshell (with David Johansen), as well as the Best of the Living Room and the Best of Arlene Grocery concerts. A former NYC Urban Park Ranger, Vladeck started hot-wiring beat-up instruments because he loved their vibe but wanted more juice to play them at clubs. The result combines the modern with the historical, with his music lying somewhere between indie and folk. At times it's as if The White Stripes, Jonathan Richman, and Beck fell into a blender and was spit out by Bob Dylan. Vladeck is especially regarded for his well-crafted songs and his unique rock banjo sound. Vladeck is also a member of The Honey Brothers.- Shop: odax
