James Suckling: 94-95/100 Punkte  "This is so savory and delicious with dark-berry and mushroom character and cedar undertones. Lavender and smoke as well. Full body, firm and silky tannins and a flavorful finish." Wine Enthusiast: 94-96/100 Punkte "Barrel Sample. A mix of well-structured tannins and bright acidity contrast with the perfectly ripe fruits in this beautifully balanced wine. The wine's richness is impressive and will ensure a long life." Decanter: 93/100 Punkte  "The 2018 Croix has an IPT of 96 that comes from the unusually small size and thick skins of the Merlots, Cabernets and Petit Verdots. It's a huge wine filled with deep, vivid and intense pencil lead, cassis and sweet black cherry, with a silky texture. It's aged in 70% new oak but this is already well integrated, and the wine is wonderfully stretched out through the palate. An impressive La Croix. 3.75pH. Drinking Window 2026 - 2038” Robert Parker´s Wine Advocate: 91-93/100 Punkte  "This is not a second wine as such, because it comes from a dedicated part of the vineyard, located on the south bank of La Mouline. The 2018 La Croix de Beaucaillou is a blend of 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot, to be aged 12 months in 60% new barriques. It has a pH of 3.75, 15% alcohol and an IPT (total polyphenol index) of 96. Deep garnet-purple colored, it is a little closed and broody to begin, offering subtle notions of fertile loam, tobacco, truffles and cast iron pan with a core of crème de cassis, blackberry compote and boysenberries with hints of underbrush and bay leaves. Full, rich and seductive in the mouth, it has firm, rounded tannins and just enough freshness to lift the dense fruit to a long finish."  Wine Spectator: 90-93/100 Punkte "The solid core of kirsch and plum sauce flavors is laced with apple wood and graphite notes. Direct and well-built."

There is nothing for it - we will have to marry for money! The Strathcarrons have lived in splendour in Lednock Castle in Scotland for many generations, but the family fall on hard times when their fortunes become depleted. An American guest, Larry Harwood, comes to stay and persuades the Earl of Strathcarron to travel to New York with him to make his fortune, leaving his wife, his son, Ewen and daughter, Moira, to the mercies of fate. Six months later the Earl returns a broken man, having lost the entire estate to the American's creditors. Ewen and Moira hatch a desperate plan to save the castle and their very inheritance from the clutches of the American bank. They realise that their only recourse is to make good marriages into wealthy families with the hope that they can bail out their father. They head for London, and its glittering social scene with the express purpose of not returning to Scotland until they have both found suitable spouses. But things do not go to plan when Moira meets handsome Stuart Weston again and in spite of her promise to her brother, she finds herself falling in love with him. Torn between her loyalty to her family and her heart's desire, will Moira ever find true happiness or will she be forced into a loveless marriage of convenience? Robert M. Parker(Wine Advocate): 98+Punkte The 2010 Palmer is one of the superstars of the vintage, a blend of 54% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 6% Petit Verdot, which is just slightly different than what I indicated two years ago. The alcohol level hit 14.5%, and the wine comes across like a more stacked-and-packed version of their 2000. It is tannic and backward, but has a sensational black/purple color and a gorgeous nose of camphor, barbecue smoke, blackberry and cassis. Full-bodied, with oodles of glycerin but a relatively healthy pH, this wine has a precision and freshness that belie its lofty alcohol and extravagant concentration. This is a sensationally rich, full-throttle Palmer that could well end up being one of the all-time great wines made at this estate. It needs a good 7-10 years of cellaring and should keep for 50 or more years. There’s no question that Thomas Duroux and the staff at Palmer are producing wines of first-growth quality, and have been for nearly a decade. Genussreife: 2020-2070 Weinwisser (René Gabriel): 19/20 Punkte 54 % Merlot, 40 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 6 % Petit Verdot. Genussreife: 2018-2050 Wine Spectator(James Molesworth): 95-98 Punkte This dense red offers a big core of currant, plum and cassis, with lots ofburied violet and anise. Really loaded on the back end, this is very muscular, but still velvety. Features saturated fruit on the finish, but staysrestrained. Should be very long-lived. Tasted non-blind. Decanter (StevenSpurrier): 19,5/20 Punkte Superb richness and already showing a velvety texture, wonderful freshness andflavours that keep on growing, a magnificent Palmer. Genussreife: 2020-2050

Trinkgenuss: 2025 bis 2055  Wine Spectator: 92/100 Punkte  "This is on the charming side of the spectrum, with a rounded hint to the mix of violet-infused plum and cherry fruit, accented by notes of singed cedar and sandalwood. Light black tea and warm cast iron accents pervade the finish, returning this to a more typical Pauillac profile. Best from 2020 through 2032."  James Suckling: 96/100 Punkte  "Swathed in spicy and toasty oak aromas, this has a wealth of superbly expressed red and dark berries, flowers and mint. The palate delivers a very assertive and energetic array of dark berries and spiced plums with a fresh, focused, vibrant finish. Superb wine. Try from 2023."  Decanter: 94/100 Punkte  Very good fragrance and florality – the typical slatey, stony Grand-Puy-Lacoste style shows even more precision and grip than usual, with wonderful middle fruit richness. Will make a really classic claret.  Trinkgenuss: 2020 bis 2040
