Traditional hierarchical structures are falling - is your organization ready? Emergent provides a handbook for navigating - and thriving in - the new cultural paradigm. More than a simple DIY for change, this book empowers organizations to diagnose change risk, address current shortcomings, and adapt to the increasing current away from hierarchies to autonomous and interdependent networks. Unguided, most fail in their attempt; this shift exposes huge skills deficits, a lack of engagement, lack of value and meaning, market reach, penetration, and more. Here, a 20-year veteran of brand and culture transformation outlines a unique governance framework and blueprint for implementing and co-creating your own cultural shift. Methodologies from crowdsourcing and social movements are adopted as tools for initiating change and creating cultural cohesion around a higher purpose, and essential skills and tools help equip organizations and individuals for the emergent future. Today's workplace demands are creating extraordinary challenges for organizations; power is shifting, and the spotlight has forced businesses to engage with stakeholders in more meaningful ways, and to acknowledge a need for radical "humanization" of the workplace. To drive successful change you need to spark a movement. This book provides a way forward through the transition, with expert guidance and a clear, actionable framework for implementation. Adopt a unique governance framework for culture transformation Energize, mobilize and catalyze change, innovation, and growth Address skills deficits, values misalignment, failed engagement, and more Ignite your organization's purpose and forge sustainability for the future The demand for greater values alignment, autonomy and individual empowerment - fueled by technology and increasing interdependencies - is bringing down the traditional power structure. Life with a narcissist is daunting, harrowing, and unpredictable. He is self-absorbed, self-sufficient, and self-serving. He is haughty, arrogant, and oblivious to your wishes, desires, dreams, and goals. He is rude and envious toward others. He has terrible behavior and even worse manners. He is untrustworthy and incapable of any true and consistent feelings worthy of anyone else's attention. Life with a narcissist is all-consuming, isolated, and draining. He is lacking any adult skills or abilities to meet another person's needs, and so he misbehaves and acts out in order to take your attention away from his all-consuming deficits. He is truly only half of a man - and maybe that is generous. He often falls through on his responsibilities to you, up to and including simply meeting your sexual needs. Why do women run to these men in droves? What causes them to drop at the feet of narcissists, seemingly begging for their punishment and negative behaviors? This book seeks to define the deficits that are often present in the woman who seeks out or inadvertently falls prey to a petty narcissist. The narcissist seeks out only specific types of women, and he turns a blind eye to others. There are only certain types of women who have a deficit or an overinterest in dating emotionally immature men such as narcissists. We seek to define these in order to bring a broader knowledge to those who suffer at the hands of narcissists and why narcissists seek out these types for their amusement. Before we can fix our economic problems, we must first diagnose what is causing them. Many of our political and intellectual leaders call for more government intervention to fix the economy. They tell us that it creates jobs, corrects "market failures", and boosts economic growth. And they insist that we need such intervention to help the poor, to coddle the consumer, and to protect the worker. But they're dead wrong. Government intervention is not the solution to our economic problems; it's the cause. Bankrupting America: How Government Intervention Is Wrecking the Economy analyzes all the major categories of government intervention in the economy - from taxes, deficits, antitrust, and price controls to regulation, protectionism, central banking, and wealth redistribution. In this book, you'll find out: Why protectionist policies such as tariffs destroy more jobs than they save Why the antitrust laws penalize the most productive, successful companies Why price controls cause shortages Why the minimum wage increases unemployment Why regulation stifles productivity Why high taxes, chronic deficits, and excessive government debt hinder economic growth Why government-provided services cost twice as much as those provided by the private sector Why private charity is more effective than government welfare Why the Federal Reserve's manipulation of interest rates exacerbates the business cycle Why government "stimulus" spending during a recession does not accelerate a recovery And much more Backed by numerous academic studies and sound economic logic, the conclusion is incontestable: Government intervention simply doesn't work. It stifles saving, investment, and capital accumulation. All of this translates to higher unemployment, higher consumer prices, and lower economic growth. ungekürzt. Language: English. Many people have had bad experiences when there is a narcissist or many narcissists in their life. They constantly feel bombarded and attacked when they are in the vicinity of the narcissist. The narcissist cycles between idealizing, devaluing, and then destroying his victims. You might recognize this form of abuse as being part of the domestic violence abuse cycle that is shared with victims in domestic violence shelters worldwide. Narcissistic abuse, however, is nearly always much more severe than standard intimate relationship abuse. Narcissistic abuse includes projecting and deflecting negative and harsh words toward others who are close to the narcissist to inflict pain or emotion where the narcissist was previously suppressing the thoughts. Projection and deflecting has many purposes to the narcissist. He projects and deflects the unwanted parts of himself onto the other person who is close to him. He projects and deflects as a way to rid himself of his unwanted parts. He projects and deflects in a primitive effort to control the other person's mind and body. He projects and deflects as a primitive coping mechanism in order to deal with his own feelings about the idea projected and deflected. It is out in the open when he says it out loud, and thus he can reject actively the ideas projected and deflected by rejecting the person who he directs the harsh words to. The narcissistic abuse causes serious disorders such as trauma bonding, narcissistic abuse syndrome, Cassandra syndrome, Wendy Complex, PTSD, Complex PTSD, depression, anxiety, battered woman syndrome and more. Many of these conditions are caused after repetitive needs deprivation that is intentionally inflicted upon them by the self-centered narcissist. The narcissist deprives the needs of his partner in order to create a sort of Stockholm Syndrome in his victim. He is often skilled at this because someone caused this narcissistic injury to him early on in his own li ungekürzt. Language: English. Narrator: D Gaunt.
