  Quiet Places

  Andreas Vollenweider ist zurück! Ein neues Album "Quiet Places", ein Roman "Im Spiegel Der Venus", Konzerte und Open-Airs. Erinnern wir uns: Andreas Vollenweider steht für ausverkaufte Tourneen weltweit in Auditorien wie der Carnegie Hall oder der Radio City Music Hall in New York, dem Universal Amphitheatre Los Angeles, dem Palladium in London, der NHK Hall in Tokyo oder der Town Hall in Sydney. Er hat ab 1980 bis heute 18 Alben veröffentlicht und davon mehr als 15 Millionen physische Tonträger verkauft. Grammy Award, Latin Grammy und World Music Award sowie weitere Grammy-Nominationen, letztmals 2007, stehen für seinen einzigartigen Erfolg. 2012 erhielt er den Swiss Music Award in der Kategorie Outstanding Achievement für sein "fortdauerndes Lebenswerk". 2015 entwickelt Vollenweider eine besondere Musik für ein Forschungsprojekt der Neonatologie des Universitätsspitals Genf. Der überraschend große Erfolg des Projektes bezeichnete das National Geographic Magazine in seiner Januar-Ausgabe 2019 als "eine der 12 Innovationen, die die Zukunft der Medizin revolutionieren werden". 2020: Nach fast vierzig Jahren erfolgreichem musikalischem Schaffen wagt sich Andreas Vollenweider an ein neues, großes Abenteuer - seinen ersten Roman! 450 Seiten, veröffentlicht wird er in einer Printausgabe und digital als E-Book. Auch als Hörbuch mit viel Musik, gelesen von Christoph Gaugler, wird er erscheinen. Und dazu das Album, inspiriert vom Themenkreis des Romans, auf CD, Vinyl und natürlich digital, das erste Werk einer musikalischen Trilogie: "Quiet Places".   RIGOLETTO IN VERONA“The Duke must of necessity be a lecher” – with these words Verdi opposed the police censorship of his Rigoletto. For the then government the dissipated and unscrupulous life at court was portrayed too realistically in the opera, so that only after considerable revision was Rigoletto finally premièred in Venice in 1851. Verdi drew his scenario from Victor Hugo’s tragedy Le roi s’amuse, the name Rigoletto being a variation of the French rigoleur (jester).THE ARENA OF VERONAVerona’s Arena is the largest and best-preserved Roman amphitheatre after the Coliseum in Rome. Built in the first century A.D., it was originally situated outside the city walls but in 265 the city’s fortifications were rebuilt, enclosing the Arena. In the course of history it has witnessed gladiatorial combat, tournaments, duels and bullfi ghts. Since 10 August 1913 the Arena has been the setting for Verona’s famous summer opera festival.
