His music is a testament to the human spirit and to experiences that everyone can relate to. Just Sayin''s career began early in his life, he's been writing ever since he learned to read. It all started after he won first prize in a local Black History Poetry contest at age 10. "I never thought anything of it so I just continued to write poems for my family." Writing poetry, coupled with the natural ability to articulate, find words that rhyme, and a deep love of music and hip hop consciousness, the progression toward emceeing was quite natural. In junior high school, he continued to impress his fellow students and faculty with his poetry and eventually wrote his first rhyme. The inspiration to conquer the stage came in high school when Just dominated the lunchroom rhyming ciphers. After a successful performance at Martin Van Buren High School's Star Search talent show, he discovered his natural ability to move the crowd. "As time went on, I realized that rocking crowds, making music and listening to music was all that really made me happy," reflects Just. Throughout his high school and collegiate career, Just's dynamic style continued to rile up audiences at various venues, creating a loyal following. His major inspirations include: God, freedom, family, life experiences, love (and the possibility of it!) and earning his rightful place in Heaven. This multi-talented brother not only plans to mesmerize the world with his rhymes but he also wants to produce music, score soundtracks and video games, write and publish books of his poetry, join a spoken word circuit and even act.
