Ultimate Deception: Ultimate Jensen Novels , Hörbuch, Digital, ungekürzt, 660min
When an imminent, mass-scale terrorist attack is uncovered, former DELTA Force officer Major Paul Jensen and the Joint Special Operations Command know that they are all that stand between the deadly attacks and innocent Americans. But what he doesn't know is the mission's cost, the terrorist's deception, and why he is haunted by love lost. Across the dark waters of the Strait of Malacca between Indonesia and Malaysia, a massive plot is birthed by an evil alliance to attack the Western United States with biological and chemical weapons, by using Abu Sayyaf, ruthless Southeast Asian guerillas, to smuggle the deadly agents into the United States. Only the sharp eye and quick reaction of a Reaper drone pilot, in the CIA's Special Operations Group, flying surveillance missions catches the suspicious Malacca rendezvous. The Agency intel develops into an imminent, priority-level-five threat to national security. When Major Paul Jensen, former DELTA officer and liaison with the Office of the Director of National Intelligence to Joint Special Operations Command, takes command of Operation Southern Fury, he and the JSOC Quick Reaction Force are all that stand between the deadly terrorist plot, and not only hundreds of thousands of lives, but the fragile national economy and the continuation of the American way of life. But can Jensen stop the threat before it reaches the United States, and at what cost? Does he understand the whole picture, or will he fall prey to the ultimate deception? ungekürzt. The Terranauts
From one of America's greatest living novelists, an epic story of science, society, sex, and survival; a deep-dive into human behavior and the question of our futureIt is 1994, and in the desert near Tillman, Arizona, forty miles from Tucson, a grand experiment involving the future of humanity is underway. As climate change threatens the earth, eight scientists, four men and four women dubbed the "Terranauts," have been selected to live under glass in E2, a prototype of a possible off-earth colony with five biomes-rainforest, savanna, desert, ocean, and marsh.Closely monitored by an all-seeing Mission Control, this New Eden is both scientific project and momentous publicity stunt for ecovisionary Jeremiah Reed, aka G.C.-"God the Creator." In addition to their roles as medics, farmers, biologists, and survivalists, his young, strapping Terranauts must impress watchful visitors and a skeptical media curious to see if E2's environment will somehow be compromised. As the Terranauts face increased scrutiny and a host of disasters, both natural and of their own making, their mantra, "Nothing in, nothing out," becomes a dangerously ferocious rallying cry.Told through three distinct narrators-Dawn Chapman, the mission's pretty, young ecologist; Linda Ryu, her bitter, scheming best friend passed over for E2; and Ramsay Roothoorp, E2's sexually irrepressible wildman-The Terranauts brings to life an electrifying, pressured world in which connected lives are uncontrollably pushed to the breaking point. With characteristic humor and acerbic wit, T.C. Boyle indelibly inhabits the perspectives of the various players in this survivalist game, probing their motivations and illuminating their integrity and fragility to illustrate the inherent fallibility of human nature itself.- Shop: buecher

Introduction to Autonomous Mobile Robots
The second edition of a comprehensive introduction to all aspects of mobile robotics, from algorithms to mechanisms. Mobile robots range from the Mars Pathfinder mission's teleoperated Sojourner to the cleaning robots in the Paris Metro. This text offers students and other interested readers an introduction to the fundamentals of mobile robotics, spanning the mechanical, motor, sensory, perceptual, and cognitive layers the field comprises. The text focuses on mobility itself, offering an overview of the mechanisms that allow a mobile robot to move through a real world environment to perform its tasks, including locomotion, sensing, localization, and motion planning. It synthesizes material from such fields as kinematics, control theory, signal analysis, computer vision, information theory, artificial intelligence, and probability theory. The book presents the techniques and technology that enable mobility in a series of interacting modules. Each chapter treats a different aspect of mobility, as the book moves from low-level to high-level details. It covers all aspects of mobile robotics, including software and hardware design considerations, related technologies, and algorithmic techniques. This second edition has been revised and updated throughout, with 130 pages of new material on such topics as locomotion, perception, localization, and planning and navigation. Problem sets have been added at the end of each chapter. Bringing together all aspects of mobile robotics into one volume, Introduction to Autonomous Mobile Robots can serve as a textbook or a working tool for beginning practitioners. Star Wars: Outbound Flight, Hörbuch, Digital, 378min
It began as the ultimate voyage of discovery - only to become the stuff of lost Republic legend...and a dark chapter in Jedi history. Now, at last, acclaimed author Timothy Zahn returns to tell the whole extraordinary story of the remarkable - and doomed - Outbound Flight Project. The Clone Wars have yet to erupt when Jedi Master Jorus C'baoth petitions the Senate for support of a singularly ambitious undertaking. Six Jedi Masters, 12 Jedi Knights, and 50,000 men, women, and children, will embark - aboard a gargantuan vessel, equipped for years of travel - on a mission to contact intelligent life and colonize undiscovered worlds beyond the known galaxy. The government bureaucracy threatens to scuttle the expedition before it can even start - until Master C’baoth foils a murderous conspiracy plot, winning him the political capital he needs to set in motion the dream of Outbound Flight.Or so it would seem. For unknown to the famed Jedi Master, successful launch of the mission is secretly being orchestrated by an unlikely ally: the evil Sith Lord Darth Sidious, who has his own reasons for wanting Outbound Flight to move forward...and, ultimately, to fail.Yet Darth Sidious is not the mission's most dangerous challenge. Once underway, the starship crosses paths at the edge of Unknown Space with the forces of the alien Chiss Ascendancy and the brilliant mastermind best known as “Thrawn”. Even Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi, aboard Outbound Flight with his young Padawan student, Anakin Skywalker, cannot help avert disaster. Thus what begins as a peaceful Jedi mission is violently transformed into an all-out war for survival against staggering odds and the most diabolical of adversaries.Timothy Zahn's unique mix of espionage, political gamesmanship, and deadly interstellar combat breathes electrifying life into a Star Wars legend. The Terranauts: A Novel , Hörbuch, Digital, ungekürzt, 1253min
A deep dive into human behavior in an epic story of science, society, sex, and survival, from one of the greatest American novelists today, T. C. Boyle, the acclaimed best-selling author of the PEN/Faulkner Award-winning World's End and The Harder They Come. It is 1994, and in the desert near Tillman, Arizona, 40 miles from Tucson, a grand experiment involving the future of humanity is underway. As climate change threatens the Earth, eight scientists, four men and four women dubbed the Terranauts, have been selected to live under glass in E2, a prototype of a possible off-Earth colony. Their sealed three-acre compound comprises five biomes - rain forest, savanna, desert, ocean, and marsh - and enough wildlife, water, and vegetation to sustain them. Closely monitored by an all-seeing Mission Control, this New Eden is the brainchild of ecovisionary Jeremiah Reed, aka G. C. - God the Creator - for whom the project is both an adventure in scientific discovery and a momentous publicity stunt. In addition to their roles as medics, farmers, biologists, and survivalists, his young, strapping Terranauts must impress watchful visitors and a skeptical media curious to see if E2's environment will somehow be compromised, forcing the ecosphere's seal to be broken - and ending the mission in failure. As the Terranauts face increased scrutiny and a host of disasters both natural and of their own making, their mantra, "nothing in, nothing out", becomes a dangerously ferocious rallying cry. Saturate Us
John "Jake" Greene, II is a seasoned worship leader, musician, and songwriter. Born and raised in Alexandria, VA., he began playing the piano at the age of 5. He began providing musical accompaniment for his Sunday school at the age of 7. Under the mentorship of his father, John Greene I, he began singing in and training choirs four years later. Jake began playing for all of the choirs at his church by the age of 13. In May 2004, Jake received his Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce from the University of Virginia. There he served as the director for the Black Voices Gospel choir and as the praise & worship leader for the Impact Movement, a branch of Campus Crusade for Christ Ministries. God blessed Jake with an opportunity to participate in a mission's trip to Capetown, South Africa the summer of 2002. Shortly after God opened many doors of ministry for Jake to lead worship and direct choirs all over the United States and a few parts of the world. Under Jake's direction, the Youth Choir of the National Church of God went on to win first place in the small choir competition at the Delmarva-DC Teen Talent competition in April 2006 and April 2008. In June 2008, Jake received his Masters in Theological Studies from the Washington National Bible College & Seminary. At God's prompting, Jake formed his group One Voice in 2006. God's mandate to Jake was to develop a team of music ministers devoted to worshipping God and sharing His word through music. One Voice lives with God's conviction to not only minister in excellence but to live in holiness. Imparting that excellence, godly living, and changing lives in the process is the group's vision. One Voice's desire is deeper than creating new music. The team aspires to hear God, interpret what He says in song, and minister the heart of that message effectively. In 2007, Jake and One Voice released their premier album entitled "Arise." Their sophomore project, "Saturate Us," was just released in July of 2010. Jake has recently completed a solo instrumental album entitled "Wilderness Revelation." This project was birthed out of his personal worship times and features Jake rendering keyboard and cello selections. Jake served as the Assistant Music Minister and Chief Musician at National Church of God under Pastor Stephen Lowery, Senior Pastor and Minister Rosalind Lynch, Director of Church Music and Worship for six years. He currently serves with Eagles' Wings, a prophetic worship ministry under the leadership of Rev. Robert Stearns. Jake's ultimate desire is to please God with his lifestyle, exemplify Jesus through his witness, and serve the body of Christ by continually creating an atmosphere of worship conducive to allowing all to connect with God.- Shop: odax
