As humans we probably became aware of "rust" just after our ancestors made their first metals. It's thought we may have begun to control corrosion very soon after that by trying to keep metal away from corrosive environments. Bringing in tools out of the rain and cleaning blood from off your sword would have been early disciplines in the fight against corrosion and its affects. Now that the mechanisms of corrosion are better understood, more techniques have been developed to control its effects and this book will focus on those in offshore wind structures. This audiobook looks at the challengers facing the offshore wind market and how corrosion mitigation is getting deployed. It's a must-listen for engineers, managers, inspectors, and applicators alike, right across the world and available in 12 languages. The publication focuses on real world issues affecting the offshore wind industry and how modern techniques are increasing asset life cycles, with well-planned and properly preformed maintenance inspections. It is primarily a guide only and is not intended to be exhaustive nor is it intended for highly knowledgeable corrosion experts. Its primary intention is for asset owners and their representatives, to aid them onsite. Special effort has been made to be factual and remain impartial as it's hoped this guide can be used and enjoyed by all with a career and interest in offshore renewable energy. ungekürzt. Dead Aware is a new tale from critically-acclaimed horror author and filmmaker Terry M. West. It is a harrowing tale written in screenplay format. As a young man, Dunlavey had a hunger for forbidden knowledge. He sought out occult practices and dark, archaic rituals all over the world. Dunlavey's thirst for arcane wisdom sent him to New Orleans. He met and fell in love with Myra, a voodoo priestess. Myra preformed a sex magic ritual with Dunlavey. This ritual allowed him to open his mind's eye, his third eye, and see the dimensional rifts that lie between our world and other places. During the ceremony, Myra's husband, Falcon, interceded. He killed Myra, but left Dunlavey alive and cursed with an opened third eye. Fast forward to the present. Dunlavey lives in New York City. He is a private investigator that assists the NYPD with any case that is deemed occult or unusual in nature. Having lived for so long with the curse, Dunlavey has become self-destructive. He is an alcoholic. He also abuses drugs and has relationships with the wrong women. His curse forces him to constantly see negative energy and spiritual manifestations. It is akin to constantly being on a bad acid trip. Dunlavey is able to protect his apartment and office using white candles and cleansing spells, but on the streets he is vulnerable to jarring psychic residue and creatures that lurk slightly beyond our veil that could be called forth with the turn of a phrase. Dunlavey is called in to investigate a series of murders. Transients are being heinously killed and reassembled in a way that Dunlavey has never seen in his researches. As Dunlavey is drawn into the case, he soon realizes that the killer is aware of him, and able to strike out at him through his visions. ungekürzt. Language: English. Narrator: Gene Blake. Muja Messiah- Thee Adventures Of A B-Boy D-Boy A veteran of Minneapolis underground Hip-Hop scene, Muja Messiah, debut full-length album, Thee Adventures of a B-Boy D-Boy. The Minneapolis based MC is know for his politically incorrect satire as he combines serious issues along with comedy and street anthems that attract the 'thinking wo/man' to his sound. With politically charged subject matter like the powerful anti-Bush song, "Patriot Act," featuring I-Self Devine and "Give It Up," featuring Black Thought of The Roots, Messiah is lyrically bursting of passion and his message is stronger than ever! Thee Adventures of a B-Boy D-Boy was originally slated to be called Niggativity when the process started in 2006. After working with Che Vicious (Dr.Dre/Eminen) in Los Angeles during the spring of 2007 and with advice from Slug and I-Self Devine, Muja Messiah was out to make a classic album that represented Minneapolis' harder side. The concept and ideas for the album evolved and Messiah dropped the name Niggitivity, and recorded a fresh batch of songs including bangers-"You Betcha," "Never Be Broke Again," and "Pretty Gurl." Working with longtime producer Doc (Esthero/RES/Young Buck) on the emotional "Growing Pains" Muja shows a vulnerable side as he navigates his life story in three parts. Muja Messiah teams up with fellow Twin Cities artist Slug (Atmosphere) on the introspective "What's This World Coming To?", Black Blondie's' Samahra on the Prince inspired "Beautiful" and rising Reggeaton star Maria Isa and Muja connect on the throwback " Royalty" Creating a narrative based off a generation raised strictly on hip-hop and it's cousin the street drug culture, the album weaves through daily battles and triumphs of a B-Boy/D-Boy. Recognizing the anger, struggle and observations of social awareness, coming of age stories and tales of Minneapolis and it's unique culture-clash. As a preview for the album Messiah released a mixtape in March of 2008 titled MPLS Massacre Vol. 1. With it's hardcore/aggressive tracks including internet favorites-"Amy Winehouse," a remix of M.I.A.'s "Paper Planes" featuring M.anifest, "O'Silly Me," featuring Slug and the conspiratorial "True Lies". The mixtape has received enthusiastic reviews and comments from local and national press resources. Muja Messiah is also linked with the notorious Raw Villa crew- a hard knock Hip-Hop crew that released the Rebellion E.P ( Black Corners) in 2000 which was followed by Muja Messiah's solo E.P. Wutz Goin' Down!!!? (Black Corners) in 2001. He's shared stages with The Roots, Slick Rick, Dead Prez, Common, Ghostface Killah, Rakim, De La Soul, Grandmaster Flash, KRS-One, Redman, 50-Cent, Atmosphere, J*Davey, Camp Lo, Slum Village and The Cool Kids. He's also preformed at CMJ, Soundset '08, Yo! The Movement-Celebration of Hip-Hop, Twin Cities Hip-Hop Awards, Minnesota Music Awards and the Toronto Urban Music Festival. Muja Messiah can be heard on Atmosphere's Strickly Leakage on "Crewed Up," URB Magazine's Next 1000 with the track "Beautiful" featuring Samahra (Black Blondie) and Vibe's 51 Best Myspace Rappers. Muja Messiah's debut Thee Adventures Of A B-Boy D-Boy (Black Corners) features Black Thought (The Roots), I-Self Devine, Slug (Atmosphere), Nikki Jean, Samahra (Black Blondie) and Maria Isa. Production by Che Vicious (Eminem, Nas, L.Hill), BeanOne (DeLa Soul,One Be Lo), Martin 'Doc' McKinney (Esthero,Young Buck) and Malik Worthy (Esthero, K-os).

Warren Bloom is one of America's premiere musical Renaissance men. A singer songwriter, percussionist and harmonica player, he has penned, performed and recorded songs in many musical genres: Ballads, Reggae, Folk, Country, Hard Rock and Classic Rock and Roll. Bloom's first album was as a member of 'The Facedancers' on Paramount Records. The album was produced by Teo Macero, The legendary producer of Miles Davis. Hall and Oates played on and produced Bloom's rendition of 'Natural Sinner' on Jamie Records. His original song 'Bonfire' was preformed live by Pat Benatar. Through out his career, Warren has garnered an amazing array of kudos from his peers. Darryl Hall said, ' You sing better than me!' No less a luminary than Lou Reed said 'You really know how to sing the ballads, and that's the hardest thing to do.' Pat Benatar remarked, 'You remind me of Bob Dylan, your style is so original.' Jim Quinn of the Philadelphia Inquirer wrote, ' Warren Bloom can do anything with his voice, and apparently isn't afraid to try. It's nice to hear some sing in his own voice.' All of which could make anyone's ego soar into the ozone, but Bloom is also considered to be one of the nicest guys in the Big Apple by his many friends. Warren Bloom grew up in Fairfield CT, where he was a state high school tennis champion and voted his high school's 'class clown.' He graduated from the University of North Carolina with a degree in communications. He played in rock bands throughout college, and then moved to Philadelphia obtaining a Master Degree in communications at Temple University. When he wasn't hitting the books, he was hitting musical heights performing with Philadelphia's legendary comedy rock band Lobotomy. The group preformed live at the' Electric Factory', 'The Bijou' and 'The Mercer Art Center in NYC.' The group changed their name to 'The Face Dancers' and recorded an album that is now a collector's item on the Internet. Bloom was the lead singer and co-wrote all the songs. The group was featured on several radio and television shows. Moving to N.Y.C., Bloom rocked out regularly at Catch a Rising Star, The Bitter End and the Village Gate. He is a two-time winner of ASCAP's performance award. His first solo album ' Thanks For the Fantasy' came out on 'Rocking Chair Records' in 1996. His new album ' Miracle Morning' was released in 2002. The album features twelve original Bloom tunes and the Bloom Band.
