    Château de Beaucastel ist eines der berühmtesten Weingüter Frankreichs und seine Weine sind bei Weinliebhabern rund um den Globus heißbegehrt. Das Weingut Château de Beaucastel wird seit 50 Jahren biodynamisch bewirtschaftet und bringt einen der ausdrucksstärksten Rotweine der Welt hervor, der durch Eleganz, Balance und enormen Reifepotenzial brilliert. Aus allen 13 Rebsorten, welche für die AOC Châteauneuf-du-Pape zugelassen sind, komponieren die Perrins den unfassbar dichten und opulenten Château de Beaucastel – ein Wein, der seinesgleichen sucht! Die verschiedenen Rebsorten stammen von einem einzigen, etwa 80 Hektar großen Weinberg innerhalb der Appellation Châteauneuf-du-Pape, der das beste Terroir der Region beherbergt. Alle Rebsorten werden separat vinifiziert und reifen nach der Assemblage für ein Jahr in Eichenholzfässern. Der 2017er Jahrgang gilt als Rekordjahr: das trockenste Jahr seit 30 Jahren, optimale Lesebedingungen und Weine mit großartigem Potenzial waren und sind die Folge. Üblicherweise haben die Tropfen eine enorme Alterungsfähigkeit, doch setzt sich dieser Jahrgang dezent anders zusammen, wodurch der Wein schon früher die maximale Trinkreife erreicht. Wir empfehlen daher: Trinken Sie diesen körperreichen und konzentrierten Château de Beaucastel innerhalb von acht Jahren. Decanter, 95/100, Jahrgang 2017 „The Grenache and Cinsault are fermented in cement, while the Syrah and Mourvèdre are in foudre. Finely pixellated fruits of the forest aromas with a full bodied but fresh and lively palate. The Mourvèdre element is strong, bringing vibrancy and power. It’s firmly savoury, very dry and dramatic. The palate is medium-bodied with plush tannins and plenty of freshness supporting the elegant fruit, finishing perfumed and very pretty."  Trinkgenuss: 2023 bis 2040 Wine Spectator: 89-92/100 Punkte  "Bright and fresh, with fine acidity stretching out the elegant layers of cassis, blackberry, lilac and sandalwood. Pure and refined."  James Suckling: 93/100 Punkte  "Some berry and sweet-tobacco character. Medium body, fresh fruit and a firm tannin backbone. Bright acidity."   Vinous (Neal Martin): 89-91/100 Punkte "The 2017 Kirwan has a slightly smudged bouquet that does not quite deliver the detail of its peers: raspberry preserve and crushed strawberry at first, then light sous-bois and smoke aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly angular tannin, not as cohesive as I would have liked although I appreciate the cracked black pepper note on the aftertaste. This is a château that I feel can produce great Margaux however, the 2017 does not possess the nuance and complexity of the best examples from the appellation." Wine Enthusiast: 95/100 Punkte "Barrel Sample. Layers of black currant fruit and ripe tannins give this wine an elegant character. It is not powerful, but is certainly balanced and full of fruit. It will age well over the medium-term, meaning it will be ready to drink from 2023." Decanter: 91/100 Punkte  "This is well extracted, with dark berry fruits, attractive tobacco leaf and charcoal notes. It has that same savoury frame that so many from Margaux have this year, and the fruit character is not bursting with generosity but is still expressive and lyrical. It really does offer something for those looking for a more sculpted wine. Medium term drinking. Offers a gorgeous feel, with a long, fine-grained chalky spine buried on the finish. A beauty."   Vinous (Neal Martin): 92-94/100 Punkte "The 2017 Clos Fourtet has a powerful, almost burly bouquet with upfront, quite bold blackberry, raspberry and strawberry fruit that maybe miss the precision of some of the appellation's more elegant offerings. There is just a touch of cassis and violet that emerges with continued aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, more rounded in texture than its peers. There is impressive volume towards the finish that is uncommon in this vintage, but you have to just stand back and admire its persistence."  Decanter: 94/100 Punkte "Good quality with depth of complexity and layers. An excellent Clos Fourtet that really lives up to the success of recent vintages, if not quite at the level of its 2015 and 2016. Damson, dark chocolate and saline notes are bolstered by extremely dark fruits that have the juice to carry them through the mid-palate, the oak supporting rather than overwhelming. There's a slight austerity and savoury edge to the fruit that speaks of 2017, but this is easily hitting the heights of St-Émilion in this vintage.
