Symphoniae Sacrae II (Schütz-Ed.Vol.18)
In der 18. Folge der Schütz-Gesamteinspielung mit Hans-Christoph Rademann aus dem Traditionshaus CARUS sind die Symphoniae Sacrae II zu hören. Nach dem ersten, folgenreichen lateinischen Band wollte der Komponist verhindern, dass die Werke von anderen eigenmächtig ins Deutsche übertragen werden und verfasste 27 Madrigale in seiner Muttersprache. Erstmals erwähnt Heinrich Schütz hierbei auch das musikalische Vorbild Monteverdi und verarbeitet einige Madrigale, darunter dessen bekanntes Armato il cor und das quirlige Zefiro torna mit seinem hypnotischen Ciaccona-Bass. The use of the organ instead of the harpsichord has changedthe interpretation of the musician to a large extent: the sustained soundof the organ tones (contrary to the quickly decaying sound of theharpsichord) heightens the tension of the harmonics, especially thedissonances. The length of the notes is therefore often shortened, takinginto account the reverberant acoustics of the church, which also affectedthe tempo choices. In short, this interpretation is completely differentfrom the harpsichord version, shedding a new light on these masterpiecesby Bach, who himself was never averse to using different instruments forhis works.?
