Von vielen als einer der nächsten Topstars der Blues- und Rockszene gesehen, faszinierte Eric bei seinen Konzerten in bisher über 25 Länder ein begeistertes Publikum. Seine Energie und Leidenschaft auf der Bühne enttäuscht nie und machen seine Konzert zu einem Muss für jeden Fan klassischen Gitarrenrocks.Nur wenige junge Gitarristen können einen ebenso beeindruckenden Lebenslauf wie Eric Steckel vorweisen. Sein Debütalbum ?A Few Degrees Warmer? nahm der junge Musiker 2002 im Alter von nur 11 Jahren auf. Kurz darauf wurde sein energiegeladener Auftritt beim Sarasota Blues Festival das Gesprächsthema Nummer Eins ? und niemand anderes als der legendäre John Mayall bat ihn als jüngster Gitarrist mit ?The Bluesbreakers? auf die Bühne. Offenbar mit bleibendem Eindruck, denn Mayall lud ihn 2004 ein, Teil der Skandinavientour der ?Bluesbreakers? zu werden. Anfang 2005 reiste Eric nach Los Angeles, um auf John Mayalls Album ?Road Dogs? zu spielen.In den nächsten Jahren folgten Auftritte bei renommierten Festivales und ausverkaufte Konzerttouren in Holland, Deutschland, Belgien und Italien. Er spielte als Vorband für Johnny Winter im ?The Paradiso? in Amsterdam, begeisterte das Publikum des Tegelen Bluesrock Festival und teilte die Bühne als Hauptact mit Gregg Allman beim legendären Pistoia Blues Festival.In seinen jungen Jahren veröffentlichte Eric zahlreiche von Kritikern hochgelobte Live- und Studioalben. Sein 2006 erschienenes Album?Havana? ist ein heißer Tipp unter Bluesgitarrenfans und einige der Songs werden nach wie vor oft beim Radiosender SiriusXM?s Bluesville station gespielt. Das Album ?Feels Like Home? mit dem talentierten Schlagzeuger Duane Trucks versetzt den Zuhörer in die 70?s Southern Rock-Ära. Nach Jahren auf Tour fand sich Eric 2012 im Studio wieder, um das packende Bluesalbum ?Dismantle The Sun? aufzunehmen. 2015 produzierte Eric zusammen Produzenten, Toningenieuren und Musikern in Nashville, Tennessee und Amsterdam, Holland das Album ?Black Gold?. ?Polyphonic Prayer? ist sein bislang erfolgreichstes Album.
