    COBI 1917 - Concorde 1:95, 455 Bauteile
    Die Concorde ist ein Überschallflugzeug mit einem Düsentriebwerk. Es war das Ergebnis einer Idee für den Überschalltransport, die von Unternehmen aus Frankreich und Großbritannien gemeinsam umgesetzt wurde. Es wurde erstmals 1969 geflogen. Sieben Jahre später wurde es 27 Jahre lang weltweit eingeführt. Concorde flog hauptsächlich auf der Transatlantikroute. Von London Heathrow (British Airways) und Paris Charles de Gaulle (Air France) zum JFK-Flughafen in New York und Dulles in Washington. Er erreichte Rekordgeschwindigkeiten Der Flug dauerte die Hälfte der Zeit eines konventionellen Flugzeugs. Aufgrund der hohen Produktionskosten und der kostspieligen Betriebsarbeiten wurden nur 20 Flugzeuge produziert. Concordes letzter Flug war am 26. November 2003. Das Modell aus COBI-Blöcken zeigt das Überschallflugzeug Concorde G- BBDG. Es war ein Testmodell in den Farben von British Airways. Er führte mehrere Jahre lang Testflüge durch und wurde nie in Dienst gestellt. Im Laufe der Zeit wurde es als Ersatzteilbasis für die regelmäßig fliegende Concord in der Flotte verwendet. Das Flugzeug ist seit 2003 im Brooklands Museum (Weybridge) ausgestellt. Dieses neue COBI-Modell wurde originalgetreu mit 455 Kupplungen vom Original reproduziert. Das Modell hat Aufkleber und ist mit einem einziehbaren Fahrwerk ausgestattet. Wenn die Räder ausgefahren sind, können sie gedreht werden. Das Ruder ist ebenfalls beweglich. Das authentisch aussehende Modell wird sicherlich die Erwartungen von Flugbegeisterten, Sammlern und Kindern erfüllen.
