    Thermalright Archon IB-E X2 Prozessor-Luftkühler
    Der Archon IB-E X2 setzt auf ein Dual-Fan Design, das speziell für die Bedürfnisse anspruchsvollster Anwender optimiert wurde. Getreu dem Motto "innovated - not imitated" setzt man beim neuen Archon auf innovative Änderungen am Kühlkörper, um ein bereits herausragendes Produkt noch weiter zu verbessern. Um die bestmögliche Kompatibilität zu Mainboards und Gehäusen zu garantieren, sind die Aluminium-Lamellen des überarbeiteten Archon IB-E X2 nun versetzt angeordnet. Das überarbeitete Design gewährleistet, dass der oberste PCIe Steckplatz auf ATX-Mainboards nicht mehr durch den Kühler blockiert wird. Auf der anderen Seite ragt der Kühler nicht über Standard-ATX Mainboards hinaus, wodurch auch Inkompatibilitäten mit im Deckel montierten Lüftern oder an der Gehäuseoberseite installierten Netzteilen ausgeschlossen werden können. Final wird die Gesamthöhe des Archon IB-E X2 durch das neue Design um ca. 5 mm reduziert, wodurch der Kühler auch in Midi-Towern Verwendung finden kann, für die der Vorgänger schlicht zu hoch war. Die effektive Kühlfläche des Archon IB-E X2 weist die Abmessungen 150 x 125 mm auf und gewährleistet, dass der Luftstrom der beiden 140 mm Lüfter annähernd vollständig durch die Kühlfinnen geleitet und so das Maximum an Kühlwirkung erreicht wird. Natürlich lassen sich auch beliebige andere, konventionelle 120 und 140 mm Lüfter mit dem Archon IB-E X2 kombinieren. Die relativ geringe Tiefe des Kühlers von 55 mm (ohne Lüfter) garantiert, dass auch hochstehende Ram-Module problemlos verwendet werden können - ganz gleich ob 4 oder 6 Steckplätze vorhanden sind. Die kugelgelagerten Lüfter sind temperaturgeregelt (PWM) - die Drehzahl beträgt in Abhängigkeit von der CPU-Temperatur zwischen 900-1.300 U/min. Der Einsatz von zwei Ventilatoren bedeutet, dass beide Lüfter in aller Regel quasi im Leerlauf arbeiten können. Für einen möglichst geräuscharmen Betrieb verfügen die TY-141 über sieben Lüfterblätter im speziellen "Torpedo" Design. Zusammen mit den optimierten Flügeln und dem strömungsgünstigen Rahmendesign bewirkt dies einen besonders effektiven und gleichzeitig auch sehr leisen Luftstrom. Serienmäßig wird der Kühler mit zwei Paar Lüfterklammern für Lüfter mit 120 mm Montagebohrungen ausgeliefert. Somit lassen sich konventionelle 120 mm Lüfter ebenso montieren, wie z.B. alle Modelle der 140 mm TY Lüfterfamilie. Der Kühlkörper verfügt über acht gesinterte High-End Heatpipes, um die Prozessorabwärme besonders schnell abzuleiten. In Verbindung mit den beiden TY 141 Lüftern werden alle aktuellen Prozessoren effektiv gekühlt. Somit bietet auch der Archon IB-E X2 eine weit überdurchschnittliche Kühlleistung, die die führende Position in der Spitzengruppe aktueller Singletower-Modelle weiter festigt. Die Unterseite des Kühlers verfügt über eine leicht konvex geformte Auflagefläche. Das bereits vor mehreren Jahren erstmalig von Thermalright entwickelte Design wurde mittlerweile von diversen anderen Herstellern "übernommen". Die konvexe Form bewirkt gegenüber ebenen Oberflächen eine weitere Optimierung der Kühlleistung - insbesondere bei Intel-Systemen. Der Archon IB-E X2 ist selbstverständlich Multiplatform-tauglich und wird serienmäßig mit Montagematerial für alle gängigen Sockel ausgeliefert. Besitzer von Intel LGA 775/1366/1155/1156/2011/1150 Boards können den Kühler ebenso einsetzen, wie Nutzer von AMD AM2/AM2+/AM3/AM3+/FM1/FM2/FM2+.
