Die 2006er Brut Cuvée Rare ist eine überaus gelungene Neuinterpretation der Linie »Rare« aus dem Champagner-Hause Piper-Heidsieck. Gemeinsam mit der feinen aber ausgeprägten und langanhaltenden Perlage eröffnet der Champagner im Glas ein vielschichtiges Bukett. Es ist der Duft von gelben Obstbäumen, Birnen, frischer Ananas sowie von pürierter Brombeere zu vernehmen. Neben den fruchtigen Komponenten ist das komplexe Aroma von Buttertoast und Brioche Noten geprägt. Außerdem finden sich Graphit, Jod und rauchige Anklänge wieder. Das langanhaltende Finish hat eine angenehme Würzigkeit und schmeckt nach frischem Ingwer. Die Cuvée ist vollmundig und breit strukturiert, die sich im Kern frisch und dicht zugleich zeigt.
