The Last Supper/Blutsabbath (2cd Remastered 2021)
Nachdem sie ihren Vertrag mit dem globalen Metal-Giganten Nuclear Blast Records erneuert haben, macht sich die berüchtigte Death/Black-Metal-Band BELPHEGOR nun auf eine Reise zurück in ihre frühen Tage, indem sie remasterte Versionen von "The Last Supper" und "Blutsabbath" veröffentlichen. Ursprünglich 1995 auf Lethal Records bzw. 1997 über Last Episode veröffentlicht, entstand auf diesen Aufnahmen die blasphemische, antireligiöse Wildheit, für die die Band bekannt und gefürchtet ist. "The Last Supper" ist klanglich näher an der Death-Metal-Welle der 90er Jahre (Cannibal Corpse, Deicide, Morbid Angel) angesiedelt, während sich die Band auf "Blutsabbath" voll und ganz auf die Rohheit des Black Metal einließ, der den typischen Sound der Gruppe prägte. Killing the Torah: The Roots of Christian Anti-Judaism and Anti-Semitism , Hörbuch, Digital, ungekürzt, 70min
Despite significant improvement in interfaith dialogue in some quarters between Christians and Jews, many Christians still maintain theological positions that are inimical to fundamental Jewish beliefs, and consequently, to the Jewish people. The essential perspective that sets the tone for Christian attitudes toward Jews and Judaism is their theological view of the Torah. Most Christians will argue that they hold no bias against the Torah. They cannot, they claim, since it forms a part of their biblical canon. The reality, however, is that theologically many Christians are guilty of legicide, i.e., killing the Torah, much in the same way that they have historically accused Jews of deicide, i.e., of killing God incarnate. Where my previous works have focused on Jewish attitudes toward Christians, this work is focused on challenging Christians to ensure that their perspectives on the Torah are not merely lip service to what forms the foundation for Jewish identity. The famed Lutheran theologian Rudolf Bultmann stated in 1933 that the Hebrew Scriptures were no longer revelation as it has been and still is for Jews, More seriously, he stated that the Hebrew Scripture means nothing more to Christians. Bultmann, a professor of the New Testament at the University of Marburg, did not believe that the Hebrew Scriptures should be discarded, however. But this was only, perhaps unconsciously, so that it served as the sinister foil compared to the light of the Gospel. These ideas are not limited to Bultmann, however. Even a Christian theology generally favorable toward like Hans Küng stated that the apostle Paul was justified in killing the law. The mistake that Rudolf Bultmann and others have made is that despite their study of ancient Judaism and Second Temple Judaism, their attitudes toward the Torah prevented them from legitimately recognizing the existence of contemporary Jews. Darkarma
Formed in 2004 in Miami Beach, this band has always been pushing their own limits as well as others around them to be the best musicians they can be. They are very active in the Miami music scene and have played alongside national acts such as DEICIDE, INTO THE MOAT, MONSTROSITY, ATHEIST and AGHORA. Darkarma's new E.P. showcases their talent tremendously with their epic solos, bone crushing drums, blood curdling vocals and stomach punching bass lines. Darkarma will be embarking on tour soon and hope to set fire with their sound to every club they play in! Darkarma has played in many venues around the Miami area such as: Revolution Live!, The Factory, Churchill's, The Tiki Bar, Club Flavour, Kaffe Krystal, Club Xit, The Culture Room and many others. Darkarma has also won a battle of the bands competition in 2005 as well as one in 2009 against 40+ bands. Their influences are very eclectic with each member's footprint audible in their music.
