He was brought into the world May of 1984 as Cory Smith, but 'Young Dibiase' has always been an appropriate name for the unique individual. Dibiase was diagnosed with Sickle Cell at birth. Realizing he has to work twice as hard because of the blood disorder, it has proven to be a successful motivator in his life and career. The youngest of 4 grew up in a Military based family, and although he was born in Germany, Radcliff Kentucky is his home. Experience with alcohol, drugs, poverty, violence, and personal health issues at a young age have been the fuel that fires Dibiase's passion as a Hip Hop artist. Over the years Dibiase has become one of Kentucky's most promising and well round rounded artists, consistently releasing hit singles, and opening shows all over the state for Majors acts such as Interscope Records own platinum selling artist "Rich Boy". 2011 looks to be the "light at the end of the tunnel" as Dibiase plans to breakthrough as one of the South's new Regional acts. Fiesta/Every Morning
For me, the past two years have been life changing and full of learning experiences. After graduating from college in 2008, I decided to take the following year to focus my energy into making a career for myself as a singer/songer. After earning an embarassing $400 that year, having very little new exposure, and having been rejected by a handful of labels, I realized I did not want to play the record deal game any longer. I decided that if I was ever to become successful in music, I would need to get there on my own terms, make music for the fun of making music. I recorded and produced the short 'Fiesta' EP with some help from a few very talented musical friends during the last couple of months before school. I felt great, because there were no external forces telling me what they wanted in my album. I test-released the album on my website, and it received favorable reviews. I wanted to release it on itunes and in hardcopy form, but I also wanted to add to it to give people their money's worth. My Dad had been requesting for years that I record a second live album. I decided it was time. Recording the live 'Every Morning' EP was a beautiful experience for me and everybody involved. Performing is my biggest strength as an artist, and I wanted to show people that. People who have known me for years and people who have never heard me before will all feel at home when they listen to 'Every Morning'. It also has the added bonus of giving people a glimpse into the magic of The Listening Room before it's untimely closing.- Shop: odax
