Professionelles Handeln ermöglicht guten Unterricht. Es ist daher unstrittig, dass Schüler von einer guten Lehrerausbildung profitieren. Somit beinhaltet diese Arbeit zunächst eine Auseinandersetzung mit der Frage, welche Kompetenzen eine "gute" Lehrkraft mitbringen muss. Danach wird sich mit den konkreten Auswirkungen der Corona-Pandemie aus Sicht der Studierenden befasst. Neben der Betrachtung der Auswirkungen der Pandemie wird untersucht, wie die Studierenden die Online-Lehre während der Kontaktbeschränkungen bewerten und wie sie sich bezüglich ihrer eigenen Kompetenzentwicklung einschätzen. In diesem Zusammenhang erfolgt vorab eine Betrachtung wesentlicher theoretischer Grundlagen zum Kompetenzbegriff. Es wird bedeutsame Fachterminologie erläutert sowie, anhand von Standardwerken der Fachwissenschaft, relevante Theorien und Konzepte beschrieben und eingeordnet. Dieser theoretische Rahmen ermöglicht die spätere Analyse und Interpretation der erhobenen Daten aus dem empirischen Teil. Im Anschluss wird auf Besonderheiten in der universitären Lehre während der Pandemie eingegangen. Die Chronologie der Ereignisse wird beschrieben und Auswirkungen gewählter Maßnahmen werden benannt. Obwohl in der Literatur vergleichsweise wenig empirisch begründete Daten hinsichtlich der Lehrerkompetenzen vorhanden sind und aufgrund der Aktualität des Themas erst wenige umfangreiche Studien zum Thema "Studieren in Zeiten der Corona-Pandemie" vorliegen, werden im Anschluss an den theoretischen Teil auf Basis des bisherigen Forschungsstandes naheliegende Hypothesen formuliert. Die Gegenüberstellung dieser Hypothesen mit den individuellen Einschätzungen der in der Studie befragten Studierenden ist Kern dieser Arbeit. Ein Erkenntnisgewinn ergibt sich hierbei sowohl aus einer hergeleiteten Stützung als auch aus einer schlüssigen Verwerfung der formulierten Hypothesen auf Grundlage der Befragungsergebnisse. Abschließend erfolgt eine zusammenfassende Erläuterung der Kernaussage der vorgelegten Studie mit Darstellung und Diskussion relevanter Erkenntnisse für die Qualität universitärer Sportlehrerausbildung.
