2015 Château d'Armailhac in der Magnumflasche 5. GRAND CRU CLASSÉ PAUILLAC A.C. - 1,5 Literflasche
James Suckling: 93/100 Punkte Berries and smoke with some wet-earth and leather undertones. Medium to full body, round and velvety tannins and a juicy and delicious finish. Like the walnut and coffee undertone. Drink in 2020 Decanter: 92/100 Punkte Lovely florality, lifted fruit and silky tannins. This wine has got both broader and finer over the years and is now totally complete in the feminine d’Armailhac style. Trinkgenuss: 2021 bis 2035 Wine Spectaor: 92/100 Punkte A singed vanilla and alder frame keeps a medium-weight core of plum and black currant fruit coiled up while tobacco and violet details fill in. A pretty, fine-edged chalky spine holds the finish. Trinkgenuss: 2023 bis 2045 Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: 92/100 Punkte Composed of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot, the 2015 D'Armailhac displays a medium to deep garnet-purple color and exuberant notions of exotic spices and potpourri over a core of black and red cherry preserves plus wild blueberries and a waft of tar. Medium to full-bodied, the palate reveals mouth-filling, juicy black berry flavors with approachable, grainy tannins and wonderful freshness on the finish. 2017 Château Labegorce Margaux A.C.
(92-94 Punkte) James Suckling: 92/100 Punkte "A juicy and rich red with lots of fruit and wet-earth character. Medium to full body, ripe tannins and a fresh finish." Wine Spectator: 90-93/100 Punkte "Fresh and lively, with red and black currant fruit gilded with lilac and sandalwood notes. A fresh mineral edge shows on the finish. Nicely rendered." Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: 89-91/100 Punkte "Beginning with the 2009 vintage, Labégorce Zédé was folded into Labégorce, both of which are owned by the Perrodo family (as is the recently acquired Marquis d'Alesme). Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2017 Labégorce gives pronounced black fruits, blackberries and black plums with suggestions of underbrush, lavender and bay leaves. The palate is medium-bodied, ripe, plump, juicy and expressive with plush tannins and good length. The current blend is 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc and 6% Petit Verdot." Vinous (Neal Martin): 90-92/100 Punkte "The 2017 Labégorce was picked 15 September to 4 October and matured in 45% new oak. It has a perfumed bouquet with rose petal and violet aromas infusing the dark cherry and raspberry pastille notes. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin and a fine line of acidity. There is some vanillary oak to be subsumed during the élevage, wood tannins just lining the mouth on the aftertaste. But this is a finely made Margaux that should age well over the next 15 to 20 years. Trinkreife: 2022-2040" Decanter: 92/100 Punkte "An excellent Labegorce, full of rich black fruits, textured and layered. A great success in the vintage, with a mouthwatering delivery that holds itself with confidence. It's not hugely intense, as is often the case this year, but makes up for it with a poised delivery and firm, juicy tannins. 2017 Château Clerc Milon tbd
Wine Enthusiast: 93-95/100 Punkte "Barrel Sample. Finely structured, there is an excellent balance between fruit and tannins on this ripe and juicy wine. It is elegant, harmonious and poised. It will develop easily and over time will be an impressive wine." Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: 93-95/100 Punkte "A blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Merlot, 14% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot and 1% Carménère, the 2017 Clerc Milon is deep garnet-purple in color and scented of crushed red and black currants, wild blueberries and black pepper with touches of cigar box, violets, underbrush and menthol. Medium-bodied and with a very firm structure of wonderfully ripe, pixelated tannins and exhilarating freshness, it finishes long with notes of pebbles and floral perfume." Wine Spectator: 90-93/100 Punkte "Crunchy plum and black currant notes are fresh and focused, while chalk, iron and savory details line the finish. Shows nice purity and minerally drive." James Suckling: 95/100 Punkte "Tight and compacted with chewy tannins and showing hot-stone, blackberry and blueberry character. Full body and a driven finish." Vinous (Neal Martin): 89-91/100 Punkte "The 2017 Clerc Milon was picked from 13 to 29 September and matured in 50% new oak (which was represented in the blend tasted.) It has a more closed, backward bouquet compared to the sample of d'Armailhac. It actually reminds me of that other "Milon", Duhart-Milon in style. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannin, a fine bead of acidity, quite austere and conservative with a precise, pencil-lead, Valrhona chocolate and smoke infused finish that just pulls up a little short at the moment. Tasted three times with consistent notes."

Luis Gutiérrez vom Robert Parker Wine Advocate vergibt stolze 97 Punkte für diesen Wein: "I had already encountered the 2013 from both Tosses and Manyes, the top Cariñena and Garnacha respectively, and was really looking forward to tasting it with time, side by side and even next to the 2014s. This 2013 Les Manyes is stunning, perfumed and floral, with subtle aromas of Mediterranean herbs and flowers. The vineyard is located at 800 meters altitude on clay and limestone soils, a true rarity in Priorat, in the zone where Scala Dei has their Mas Deu vineyard, and it might be the secret why it produces such and elegant and fresh wine. Perfumed and intoxicating, this has a beautiful nose. The vinification is similar for all reds, a short, 10-day maceration with the full clusters followed by an élevage in large, neutral oak foudres, in this case for almost two years. It developed a nose of violets with time in the glass that complemented the fine tannins and the subtle minerality. The balance is gobsmacking. 1,000 bottles were filled in November 2015. This is a wine that from 2013 will also be fermented and aged in cement."" (Luis Gutiérrez, Okt. 2016) "- Shop: vinos

2017 La Croix de Beaucaillou tbd
Robert Parker´s Wine Advocate: 89-91/100 Punkte "This is not a second wine per se, as it consistently comes from a separate vineyard in Saint-Julien. The blend is usually around 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, but this year it has a high percentage of Merlot: 58%, with 39% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Petit Verdot. Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2017 La Croix de Beaucaillou has quite a spicy nose sporting cloves, anise, black pepper and fenugreek with a core of crushed blackberries and black currants plus wafts of underbrush and potpourri. The palate is medium-bodied with firm, grainy tannins and great freshness supporting the vivacious fruit, finishing long and earthy." James Suckling: 93/100 Punkte "This is very fresh and minerally with a salty and oyster shell character. Full body, tight and bright. Plenty of currant flavors too." Decanter: 91/100 Punkte "The Merlot here is grown on sandy-gravel soils and brings both freshness and structure. There's good balance, plush autumnal berry fruits and lovely spice, supported by well placed, delicate tannins. It's a clear Médoc twist on the varietal, even though this is a little lusher and more approachable than in recent years where Cabernet Sauvignon has been higher in the blend - last year it was at 66%, but vintage conditions in 2017 affected some of the crop. It's a little different in expression from 2016, but is an extremely high quality, great drinking wine. 3.74pH. IPT 75. Drinking Window 2025 – 2038” Wine Spectator: 89-92/100 Punkte "Solid, with a fresh beam of plum, black currant and anise flavors riding along a racy graphite edge. Clear and focused. Not big but a textbook St.-Julien." Wine Enthusiast: 92-94/100 Punkte "Barrel Sample. This wine, from a dedicated parcel of Ducru-Beaucaillou, is rich and structured with solid tannins. The tannins meld with ripe black plum and berry flavors offering a rich intensity." Vinous (Neal Martin): 90-92/100 Punkte "The 2017 La Croix de Beaucaillou sees 60% new oak for 12 months, with a fairly high IPT of 75. It has a ripe and generous bouquet of blackberry, fresh fig, cedar and crushed violets that blossom in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, a fine bead of acidity, that structure making its presence felt towards the finish that exerts an insistent grip. As such, this will probably require three or four years in bottle just to soften the edges“ Bitte beachten Sie die Sonderbedingungen der Subskription in unseren AGB.- Shop: Ludwig von Kapff

2018 Château Cantemerle 5. GRAND CRU CLASSÉ HAUT-MÉDOC A.C.
James Suckling: 94-95/100 Punkte »A rich and layered young Bordeaux with a solid center palate of ripe fruit and coated with ripe and polished tannins. Tightly wound ball now. Pretty texture and length to this.« Wine Enthusiast: 92-94/100 Punkte »Barrel Sample. This wine shows rich dark fruit on top of firm, dry tannins. It has structure and concentration, offering a dense wine that is going to develop well.« Decanter: 92/100 Punkte »There's an enjoyable texture and plush fruit in this elegant, well balanced wine. It has precise aromatics of black pepper, liquorice and freshly cut herbs. It's good but a touch more restrained than most of its peers. 33hl/ha. Aged in 40% new oak. 6% Petit Verdot makes up the blend. Drinking Window 2023 - 2038« Falstaff: 92/100 Punkte »Dunkles Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung.

2017 Château Le Gay Pomerol A.C.
James Suckling: 94/100 Punkte "Very pretty and refined with an excellent depth of fruit and attraction. Medium to full body, fine tannins and a fresh and subtle finish. Shows elegance." WineSpectator: 91-94/100 Punkte "This has some eye-opening toasty depths, with warm ganache and vanilla notes leading the way for a very polished core of plum preserve flavors. A bit monochromatic, but it is a pretty color." Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: 93-95+/100 Punkte "The deep garnet-purple colored 2017 Le Gay is youthfully mute, opening with black cherries, wild blueberries and mulberry scents with suggestions of violets, licorice and black soil. Medium-bodied, the palate delivers beautifully delineated fruit with oodles of freshness and firm yet beautifully ripe tannins, finishing very long and perfumed." Vinous (Neal Martin): 90-92/100 Punkte "The 2017 Le Gay has a strong whiff of the sea coming from the glass, brine and a little Japanese nori (seaweed) that is neatly sutured into the black fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, a little oaky at the moment with dark chocolate and a little leather tincturing the black and red fruit. It just feels a little predictable on the finish whereas the best recent vintages of Le Gay have fanned out and demonstrated more precision. Nevertheless, Le Gay often blossoms during its élevage so this might surprise when in bottle." Wine Enthusiast: 92-94/100 Punkte "Barrel Sample. This is a dense, opulent wine—the epitome of the Pomerol appellation. It is generous and open, with great dark fruits and integrated tannins that will allow the wine to age. Drink from 2024." Weinwisser: 18/20 Punkte "90 % Merlot. 10 % Cabernet Franc, 23 hl/ha. Purpurgranat.

James Suckling: 95-96/100 Punkte »Fantastic depth of ripe fruit with currant and dark-berry aromas. Hints of citrus and dry earth. Full body and round, velvety tannins that are melted into the wine. Very intense and fruity.« Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: 93-95/100 Punkte »The 2018 Pavillon Rouge accounts for 30% of the crop this year. It is composed of 69% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Merlot, 9% Petit Verdot and 3% Cabernet Franc, with 14.5% alcohol. Deep garnet-purple in color, it sings of crushed black and red currants, warm black berries and plum pudding with touches of fungi, cedar chest, truffles and smoked meats plus a fragrant undercurrent of fallen leaves and potpourri. The palate is medium to full-bodied with a solid backbone of fine-grained tannins and loads of freshness supporting the vibrant red and black fruits, finishing long.« Falstaff: 93/100 Punkte »Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, zarter Wasserrand. Reife Herzkirschen, Brombeerkonfit, feine Kräuterwürze, ein Hauch von Edelholz, einladendes Bukett. Kraftvoll, dunkle Frucht, zart nach Bitterschokolade, gute Säurestruktur, würzig im Abgang, mineralischer Nachhall, bleibt haften, etwas Kardamom im Finale.« Wine Enthusiast: 92-94/100 Punkte »Barrel Sample. While there is density to this wine, it still manages to show an elegant edge. Its freshness is impeccable, with bright acidity and the modicum of tannins offering support to fine berry flavors.« Decanter: 92/100 Punkte »Richly coloured, almost inky, this is seductive and full of flavour with raspberry and brambled fruits that have texture and density. For me, this is far more similar to the 2009 than the 2010. It's an enjoyable Pavillon, all parts present and correct and well assembled, even if it's a little less supple and fragrant than in some years. A subtle closing in on the finish gives you a clue to how tannic this really is (82IPT, high for this estate). 3% Cabernet Franc makes up the blend, with 13% press wine. 60% new oak ageing. 2018 La Croix de Beaucaillou SAINT-JULIEN A.C.
James Suckling: 94-95/100 Punkte "This is so savory and delicious with dark-berry and mushroom character and cedar undertones. Lavender and smoke as well. Full body, firm and silky tannins and a flavorful finish." Wine Enthusiast: 94-96/100 Punkte "Barrel Sample. A mix of well-structured tannins and bright acidity contrast with the perfectly ripe fruits in this beautifully balanced wine. The wine's richness is impressive and will ensure a long life." Decanter: 93/100 Punkte "The 2018 Croix has an IPT of 96 that comes from the unusually small size and thick skins of the Merlots, Cabernets and Petit Verdots. It's a huge wine filled with deep, vivid and intense pencil lead, cassis and sweet black cherry, with a silky texture. It's aged in 70% new oak but this is already well integrated, and the wine is wonderfully stretched out through the palate. An impressive La Croix. 3.75pH. Drinking Window 2026 - 2038” Robert Parker´s Wine Advocate: 91-93/100 Punkte "This is not a second wine as such, because it comes from a dedicated part of the vineyard, located on the south bank of La Mouline. The 2018 La Croix de Beaucaillou is a blend of 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot, to be aged 12 months in 60% new barriques. It has a pH of 3.75, 15% alcohol and an IPT (total polyphenol index) of 96. Deep garnet-purple colored, it is a little closed and broody to begin, offering subtle notions of fertile loam, tobacco, truffles and cast iron pan with a core of crème de cassis, blackberry compote and boysenberries with hints of underbrush and bay leaves. Full, rich and seductive in the mouth, it has firm, rounded tannins and just enough freshness to lift the dense fruit to a long finish." Wine Spectator: 90-93/100 Punkte "The solid core of kirsch and plum sauce flavors is laced with apple wood and graphite notes. Direct and well-built."
