"(Honestly) What Now?" is the full-length debut of Tampa, FL trio The Cruz: Randy Ojeda (bass and vocals), Ryan Backman (piano and organ), and Andy Holt (drums). Best described as "piano rock" in genre, The Cruz and it's members have influences from alternative music (Pixies, The Replacements), classic rock (Traffic, The Doors), jam bands (Dave Matthews Band, Galactic), and indie music (Spoon, Of Montreal), among others. This album was recorded following a busy summer of constant writing sessions and live shows, including several shows at The Market on 7th in Ybor City and The Brass Mug in Tampa among other venues, opening spots at the State Theatre in St. Petersburg, and Hot Topic in-store shows in several Florida cities. This release was recorded at Panda Productions in Clearwater, FL, and produced by George Harris. Piano tracks were recorded on a Baby Grand piano at Studio 420 in Tarpon Springs, FL. The album was mastered by Mike Fuller at FullerSound in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. This release contains all original material, and was recorded over several months with creativity and absolute quality in mind. It showcases the maturity the band has developed since it's eight-track debut EP in February 2009, and reflects the band's growing experience with writing and performing. Along with lead vocals and the core trio instruments, the album also features backing vocals by Tracy LaBarbera and a saxophone solo by Ian Wallace. The band sees the album as a major creative step, and full attention was given to every detail.
