    "Resurgam" bedeutet "Ich werde wiederauferstehen" und ist das heiß ersehnte, sechste Studioalbum von Fink. Die Band besteht aus dem in England geborenen und in Berlin lebenden Singer/Songwriter und Bandgründer Fin Greenall und seinen langjährigen Mitstreitern Tim Thornton (Drums, Gitarre) und Guy Whittaker (Bass). Das Album erscheint Mitte September 2017 bei R'COUP'D / Ninja Tune. Der Titel "Resurgam" entstammt einer lateinischen Inschrift aus einer 900 Jahre alten Kirche in Greenalls Heimat Cornwall. Diese Haltung pulsiert durch das ganze Album, das vom wegweisenden Produzenten Flood (PJ Harvey, U2, Foals, Warpaint, The Killers) in seinen Assault &amp, Battery Studios in Nord-London aufgenommen wurde. Die zehn neuen Tracks wurden innerhalb von zwei Monaten geschrieben - einer luxuriösen Zeitspanne im Vergleich zu vorherigen Fink-Alben - und bilden einen Songzyklus, der zugleich selbstbewusst und umfassend ist.     Wanderin zwischen den Welten und Stimme der modernen arabischen Musik.Mit ihrer Indie-Electro-Band Soapkills wurde die in Beirut geborene Musikerin Yasmine Hamdan in der gesamten arabischen Welt bekannt. Ihre Zusammenarbeit mit dem Madonna-Produzenten Mirwais an dem Album "Arabology" unter dem Namen Y.A.S. sowie des weiteren mit den Folk-Schwestern von CocoRosie sorgte ebenfalls für breite internationale Anerkennung. 2012 veröffentlichte Hamdan ihr in Zusammenarbeit mit Marc Collin (Nouvelle Vague) produziertes Solodebüt "Ya Nass". Dieses erhielt in Europa, Nordamerika und im arabischen Raum gute Kritiken. "Arabic music’s modern voice", schrieb zum Beispiel die "New York Times". Und auch Cineasten dürften Yasmine Hamdan mittlerweile kennen, 2013 hatte sie einen legendären Auftritt in "Only Lovers Left Alive", Jim Jarmuschs preisgekrönter Vampirfilm mit Tilda Swinton und Tom Hiddleston. Für "Al Jamilat" (deutsch: "Die Schönen") kam ein neues Team ins Boot. Neben Hamdan selbst waren Luke Smith (Depeche Mode, Lily Allen, Foals) und Leo Abrahams (Brian Eno, Carl Barat) als Koproduzenten tätig, bei den Aufnahmen wirkten Shahzad Ismaily (Laurie Anderson, Lou Reed) und Steve Shelley (Sonic Youth) mit. Während Hamdans Stimme klar die Traditionen der arabischen Musik mit einem unkonventionellen und frischen Ansatz wiederspiegelt, sind die Strukturen und Arrangements der Stücke weit von deren Wurzeln entfernt und bedienen sich an zeitgenössischer westlicher Elektronik, Pop und Folk.
