Le géopatrimoine ; l'évolution temporelle normale du concept de géosites

Ce livre tente de décrire l'évolution qu'a connue la recherche dans le domaine du géopatrimoine et de la géoprotection depuis 1990. En partant du projet Géosites, nous assistons à une évolution des concepts, peut-être typique du monde académique. Ainsi, nous assistons à la définition des Géomorphosites, qui sont des Géosites à caractère morphologique, de la Géodiversité, qui englobe toutes les connaissances de la Science Géologique, et qui naît de la similitude avec la biodiversité. Le concept de Géotourisme a été créé par la suite, dans l'espoir de faire connaître et de populariser les concepts de base de la géologie auprès de la population ; avec la même intention sont nées plus tard les associations ou les nouvelles manières d'étudier ainsi que Géologie et Vin, Géologie et Mythes et Géoarchéologie. Enfin, la création des Géoparcs par l'UNESCO, d'autre part, est d'une grande valeur, en plaçant finalement de grandes zones sous protection, ainsi que les zones d'intérêt géologique patrimonial de l'humanité (Mont Etna, Iles Eoliennes, Dolomites, etc.), mais ce n'est pas une solution complète, car les géosites hors des parcs ne sont pas sous protection. Enfin, quelques problèmes déjà existants et des solutions possibles sont présentés.

Geopatrimonio; la evolución temporal normal del concepto de Geositios

El libro trata de describir la evolución que ha tenido la investigación en el campo del geopatrimonio y la geoprotección desde 1990. A partir del proyecto Geosites, asistimos a una evolución de los conceptos, quizás propia del mundo académico. Así, asistimos a la definición de Geomorfositios, que son Geositios con carácter morfológico, de Geodiversidad, que encierra todo el conocimiento sobre la Ciencia Geológica, y surge por similitud con la biodiversidad. Posteriormente se creó el concepto de Geoturismo, esperando dar a conocer y popularizar los conceptos básicos de la geología a la población; con la misma intención nacieron posteriormente las asociaciones o nuevas formas de estudio como Geología y Vino, Geología y Mitos y Geoarqueología. Por último, la creación de los Geoparques por parte de la UNESCO, por otro lado, es de gran valor, poniendo finalmente bajo protección grandes áreas, así como las zonas de interés geológico patrimonial de la humanidad (Monte Etna, Islas Eolias, Dolomitas, etc.), pero no es una solución completa, ya que los geositios fuera de los parques no están bajo protección. Por último, se muestran algunos problemas ya existentes y posibles soluciones.
