Aus den immer wieder mit Überraschungsmomenten glänzenden 72 Minuten sei noch besonders das deepe Acidmonster des bulgarischen Ovum-Produzenten Kink (E 79), die asynchronen Xylophon-Spielereien von Kenny Larkin´s Glob und der Bassline-Dauerläufer The Light von der Berliner DJ-Institution André Lodemann ans Herz gelegt. Erst recht eine feste Größe im Cocoon-Kontext ist der 25jährige Frankfurter Chris Tietjen, der insbesondere mit seinen jährlichen erscheinenden Cocoon-Mix-Compilations Eins bis Fünf dem Puls des Labels so nahesteht wie kaum ein Anderer. Mit der CD2 bleibt er seinem DJ-Style einer ungemein groovenden Form des entschlackten Techhouse treu und lässt den einzelnen Tracks viel Luft zur Entfaltung. Nicht ganz von ungefähr setzt der Brooklyner Produzent Gadi Mizrahi mit Oh Love schon zum Start ein soulig tribales Ausrufezeichen, das deep und dennoch unverkennbar hypnotisch auf die Tanzfläche zieht, um mit Lee Burridge und Matthew Dekay´s organisch-jazzigem Wongel das Tempo unmerklich anzuziehen. Aber insbesondere die beherzten US-House-Hommagen des aus Thessaloniki kommenden Nikola Gala (The Pump), das bereits auf dem Radioslave-Label Rekids für Furore sorgte, und die Deadly Bees des ebenfalls aus Griechenland stammenden CJ Jeff reißen dann die Hände vollends nach oben.
