Robert Parker Wine Advocate: 95 Punkte The 2007 La Mission Haut Brion should be considered as one of the wines of the vintage, perhaps even outclassing the gaff across the road! It has an ebullient bouquet with vivid dark berry, cold, warm gravel and undergrowth scents that are very complex and beautifully defined. The palate is medium-bodied with very fine tannin, crisp acidity and a very precise structure, with superb tension on the finish. If you are seeking a 2007 Bordeaux, then this would undoubtedly be one of my picks (Neal Martin).

Wine Advocate: 91-93/100 Punkte  The 2015 La Tour Carnet is a blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon. The fruit was cooled through a "cryogenic tunnel freezer," essentially spraying liquid nitrogen, and will be matured for 16 months in 30% new oak. It has a very pure bouquet, so much so that there is something almost Pinot Noir-like here, with ebullient Morello and subtle kirsch-like scents. The oak is judicious and neatly integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin. This is very smooth and harmonious in the mouth, well-judged acidity, precise and detailed. It gently fans out on the finish, completing what I think is a very well-crafted, silky and seductive Haut-Médoc. Trinkgenuss: 2025 bis 2045  James Suckling: 91-92/100 Punkte "A fresh and clean wine with blueberry and light spice, mushroom character. Full, very fine. Shows a delicacy and finesse."  Decanter: 90/100 Punkte  Robust yet firm expression of Cabernet fruit with good structure and depth. A wine built to last.

Mary Murphy's big, eye-catching graphics and bouncy, ebullient text are sure to enchant readers who are celebrating a baby - or relishing their own claim to the title. "I saw the baby! Did you see the baby?" "Yes! I saw the baby, the teeny weeny thing." It's so exciting! News of the baby is buzzing from animal to animal, with each one - fish, bird, squirrel, insect, frog - boasting of seeing, feeding, singing to, tickling, and kissing the tiny little thing. With bold black-and-white illustrations and a flash of vivid yellow for the wee chick's appearance at the end, Mary Murphy's simple, singsong story captures the giddy commotion only a baby can bring.

Gil Gamesh, the only pitcher who ever literally tried to kill the umpire. The ex-con first baseman John Baal, “The Babe Ruth of the Big House,” who never hit a homerun sober. If you’ve never heard of them—or of the Ruppert Mundy’s, the only homeless big-league ball team in American history—it’s because of the Communist plot and the capitalist scandal that expunged the entire Patriot League from baseball memory. In this ribald, richly imagined, and wickedly satiric novel, Philip Roth turns baseball’s status as national pastime and myth into the occasion for unfettered picaresque farce, replete with heroism, perfidy, ebullient wordplay, and a cast of characters that includes the House Un-American Activities Committee. ungekürzt. Chichikov, a mysterious stranger, arrives in a provincial town and visits a succession of landowners to make each a strange offer. He proposes to buy the names of dead serfs still registered on the census, saving their owners from paying tax on them, and to use these "souls" as collateral to reinvent himself as a gentleman. In this ebullient masterpiece, Nikolai Gogol created a grotesque gallery of human types, from the bear-like Sobakevich to the insubstantial fool Manilov, and, above all, the devilish con man Chichikov. Dead Souls, Russia's first major novel, is one of the most unusual works of nineteenth-century fiction and a devastating satire on social hypocrisy. This version of Dead Souls is the translation by C. J. Hogarth. ungekürzt. Language: English. Narrator: Arthur Morey.
