When the Rogue Warrior travels to India to help supervise security arrangements for the upcoming Commonwealth Games, he and his team find themselves up to their skivvies in terrorists of all types - Pakistanis. But it’s not just the Games that are being targeted for disruption - Demo Dick and his young bucks uncover a plot to steal all seventy nuclear warheads the Indians have amassed for war against the Pakistanis. The Rogue Warrior must overcome various obstacles to prevent disaster: a high-tech remote-controlled attack helicopter that makes the Apache look like a child’s toy, an ominous chemical factory about to go boom, and tea and crumpets with the Queen. (We're just kidding about the Queen.) Marcinko and DeFelice sprinkle the action with trademark Rogue Warrior humor and non-PC asides in the latest installment of the best-selling series. As usual, the plot mixes fact with fiction, and incorporates some of the original SEAL Team 6 skipper’s recent experiences in India. ungekürzt. Language: English. Narrator: Peter Ganim. Will Murray's Pulp Classics #44Captain Zero #2 AudiobookThe Mark of Zero!by G.T. Fleming-RobertsRead by Michael C. Gwynne. Liner Notes by Will MurrayMost pulp heroes were born in editorial conferences, with or without the input of the assigned author. This is how great characters like Doc Savage and The Avenger were created. Not so the Master of Midnight, Captain Zero. He was solely the brainchild of pulp veteran G. T. Fleming-Roberts, who had previously worked on Secret Agent X, the Black Hood and the Green Ghost, the latter two under his own name. In 1948, Fleming-Roberts decided to turn the stalwart pulp superhero on its head and came up with mild-mannered newspaperman, Lee Allyn, who stripped down to his skivvies every midnight and sallied forth as the invisible but nervous Captain Zero. Thinking he had a winner, Fleming-Roberts left his Indianapolis home and went knocking on the doors of the major Manhattan pulp houses. Street & Smith's Daisy Bacon turned him down. They already had the original unseen avenger, The Shadow. Who needed another? But when the writer paid a call on Popular Publications, the former issuers of The Spider and Secret 6 decided to get back into the hero business. They announced the first issue for early 1949, but the pulp industry remained stuck in the post-war doldrums, so Popular held back Captain Zero #1 for a September release. The first issue of the new bi-monthly was cover-dated November. Captain Zero was a breath of fresh air in a field dominated by grim crimebusters. Lee Allyn didn't really want to fight crime, but what are you going to do with your time after an accident turns you invisible (except for your eyeballs, that is) every midnight? Underfunded, unappreciated, at risk of being overwhelmed by the furious guns of the Underworld, Captain Zero battles small-town crime far from the big cities braver superheroes guarded. All you ever hear about now is that college is the time of your life when you are supposed to experience new and amazing things. That is especially supposed to be true when it comes to partying and sexual experiences. It never was the case for me, though. No, I was going to be that student who focused completely on my studies almost all the time before graduating early and laughing at all the girls who partied instead of working hard. Then I met Lizzy. She is easily the most charismatic person I have ever met. Beautiful, as well. And she showed me the most amazing night of my life that I will not soon forget. Warning: This audiobook contains very explicit sex including first time lesbian sex, sex in public, oral sex, college student sex, sex with study partner, girl on girl sex, and more. Only mature adults who won't find graphic sexual content offensive should listen to this story. Here is a preview: "Come right in," she said, "The game awaits." "Lizzy," I said skeptically. "What are you doing?" "Don't worry," she smiled as she waved me inside the rest of the way. "You'll like it because it involves studying and I'll like it because it will be wild fun. Everybody wins so relax would you? Come on and lay your stuff down. Take your shoes off too. What are you dressed up for anyway?" I looked down at my t-shirt, blue jeans, and socks and shoes and back up at her. She wore a long t-shirt that looked like a sleep shirt and I couldn't see anything else. I smiled, "Well, I couldn't very well drive in my skivvies Lizzy. What's the game tonight? I'm ready to study! What do you have for me?" ungekürzt. Language: English. Narrator: Sabrina Carleton.
