The Saints of Mercy Bayou , Hörbuch, Digital, ungekürzt, 1536min
Dr. James Lavoisier was a product of the Great Atchafalaya, the torpid waters of the black water swamps and the Mississippi. But for the love of his mother, James would have been set adrift to live life as a Delta farmer, forsaking his heritage as a descendant of the Noblesse Societe, the pure lineage of French Nobility who had fled France after the defeat of Napoleon. James would struggle to extricate himself from the watery morass through education and hard work only to face the Bete Noire, the evil spirit of the swamp. In a strange turn of events, he would call upon all that life had taught him, finally returning to his heritage and the swamp to bring resolution to his struggle with the haunting demon that had ravaged his family and wealth. ungekürzt. Secret of Dreams , Hörbuch, Digital, ungekürzt, 43min
Everybody dreams, but there are few who place any importance to the phenomena of sleep. Before we can begin to comprehend or even analyze dreams, whether our dreams are symbolic or otherwise, we must first divert from our mind our materialistic conceptions of what the individual called man really is. The external or physical man, is no more the man than the coat he wears. The physical man is only an instrument of which the real inner man or soul expresses itself in the physical universe. Various materialistic theories have been given in the past, trying to explain the mighty phenomena of dreams, but these theories have always been more or less unsatisfactory. Why? Because the-materialist tries to explain the riddle of human existence without an individual human spirit his explanation will always be unsatisfactory. Dreams afford a separation of soul and body. As soon as the senses become torpid, the inner man withdraws from the outer. There are three different ways which afford this separation. First, natural sleep. Second, induced sleep, such as hypnotism, mesmerism or trance. Third, death. In the above two cases the man has only left his physical body temporarily, whereas in death he has left it forever. In the case of death, the link which unites soul and body, as seen by clairvoyant vision, is broken, but in trance or sleep it is released. The real man is then in the astral world. He now functions in his astral body, which becomes a vehicle for expressing consciousness, just as the physical body is an instrument for expressing consciousness in the waking state. Consciousness is not annihilated when the man is in the Astral world, it is only temporarily suspended. Just the same as in the case of death. The man is fully conscious in the astral regions clothed in the body of the Astral matter. This Astral body is in the physical and extends little beyond it. The Astral world is here and now, interpenetrating the physical, and not in some remote region above the c ungekürzt. Language: English. Narrator: Yacki Raizizun. Laconics of Cult , Hörbuch, Digital, ungekürzt, 134min
There is but one form of human enslavement more villainous and more detestable than the chains of the tyrant or the shackles of the despot, and that is the enslavement of the human mind under ecclesiastical tyranny, whose cowering and crouching victims at the crack of the priestly lash are driven from the cultivation of their own intelligence, from the custody of their own thoughts, from the guardianship of their own souls, and who, like whipt dogs, trembling and whining in abject submission at the feet of the oppressor, lick the very hand that wields the lash. I’m well aware what a thankless task it is to attack the established order of things, theological, political, or ethical, for in my long life I have often heard raised the old cry in different form: Great is Diana of the Ephesians! But I make no excuse or apology for my little book.If it shall turn a single man or woman away from the old path of Superstition, for so many centuries beaten hard and smooth by the tread of millions of poor tired human feet pressing forward in the dust of outworn ecclesiastical “props” that line the way in search of something they never can find, I will be satisfied.I owe this dear country something for my enjoyment all these years of the priceless privilege of liberty and the pursuit of happiness, and this be my gift to my countrymen, for I set no copyright upon it; it belongs to anybody who can use it, and if the clerics, theologs, sacerdotes, et id omne genus, can’t bless it - which I should hardly expect, let them use it as a remedy for torpid liver and heartily curse it.I have only one favor to ask of any man or woman who may pick it up, and that is: Listen to it through before you pass judgment upon it.I’m entitled to that much consideration, anyway. If monarchs only had the time to read the petitions tremblingly handed up to them, there would be more justice done in the world.- Ingersoll Lockwood ungekürzt. Language: English.
