Quick and easy to maintain, it's kitted out with J-bend spokes with two replacement spokes delivered with every wheelset.  Double-Butted and Bladed Spokes This gravity-ready wheelset's alloy rims feature a 28mm internal width with a triangular shape that helps absorb any impacts from rocks to hard landings and big compressions. Mavic's Black Shield treatment gives them a distinctive finish and protects the rims against impacts and scratches. The brand chose a classical J-bend spoke construction using 28 steel spokes (same spoke length throughout), double-butted and bladed for the perfect balance of vertical compliance and strength to handle the abuses of aggressive gravity riding.
