    Kultwein aus dem Priorat, der zu 100% aus Cariñena vinifiziert wurde. Mit natürlichen Hefen vergoren und über 2 Jahre in gebrauchten 3500-Liter Eichenfudern aus österreichischer Eiche reifte. Robert Parker’s Wine Advocat schreibt über diesen Wein: "Pure Cariñena from a 60-year-old vineyard in the village of Torroja del Priorat, the 2017 Dits del Terra still saw 70% of its volume matured in oak foudre, a percentage that is going to be diminished in future vintages until the wine ages exclusively in concrete. This is also a lot more developed and riper than the 2018, the same as I found in the Arbossar. This has lots of spices (even a touch of curry) and some tertiary aromas coming through. The palate reveals some earthy rusticity, dusty tannins and less depth of flavors than in 2018. 3,300 bottles produced. It was bottled in October 2019."" (Luis Gutiérrez, Dez. 2020)"

    'Matured At Sea' heißt nicht ohne Grund 'auf See gereift'. Hier wird der Aquavit aus Norwegen in ehemaligen Sherryfässern aus Eichenholz gelagert und reift 19 Wochen lang auf Schiffen die den Äquator kreuzen. Die Schwankungen von Temperatur und Luftfeuchtigkeit die salzige Seeluft das ständige Wogen der Ozeane und die lange Lagerung in Holzfässern haben ganz offenbar einen ausgesprochen positiven Einfluss auf die Qualität des Aquavit die ihn besonders mild und vollmundig macht. Heute werden auf der Rückseite jedes Etiketts der Name des Schiffes und die genaue Zeit der Reise vermerkt.

    Dieser Top-Rioja aus Garnacha Tinta wird inzwischen unter der Federführung von Álvaro Palacios gekeltert. Der kleine Rebberg von 3 Hektar nahe Alfaro (Rioja) wurde mit alten Garnacha-Reben aufgestockt und der Wein wird von Jahr zu Jahr besser. Luis Gutiérrez von Robert Parker's Wine Advocate vergibt stolze 96 Punkte: "I was quite underwhelmed by a bottle of the 2016 at a blind tasting and was curious to see what the 2017 Quiñón de Valmira was like. This is the new-ish iconic wine from Rioja produced by Álvaro Palacios at the Palacios Remondo winery but sold through different channels and importers. 2017 was an extremely dry and warm vintage, and the harvest was 20 days earlier than normal. The majority of Garnacha with some 10% other red varieties was picked with good ripeness and very good health, and the destemmed and crushed grapes fermented in oak vats with indigenous yeasts. The wine went through spontaneous malolactic in barrel and matured in oak foudres and bocoyes for 16 months. It feels like the essence of cherry, a Garnacha cotton candy, elegant, ethereal and tasty, more in the style of a Châteauneuf-du-Pape in this dry and warm vintage. The palate has the austere chalky texture of the very shallow limestone-rich soils that produce a stony sensation and the sapid finish, which is almost salty. Production is slowly growing, and 3,350 bottles were filled in May 2019 with this 2017, the fourth vintage produced."" (Luis Gutiérrez, Juni 2019)"
