Melancholie der einsamen Straße und endloser Weiten. Eineinhalb Jahre nach ihrem umjubelten Debüt "Inland Traveller", 2001, sind die schwedischen Isolation Years mit einem wahren Meisterwerk zurück. "It's Golden" ist gespickt mit Ohrwürmern wie dem gleichnamigen Titeltrack und der ersten Singleauskopplung "Open Those Eyes". Ein weiterer Höhepunkt ist "Three-Minute Convert", das der mit unglaublichem Charisma und Bühnenpräsenz ausgestatte Frontmann Jakob Nyström zusammen mit seiner kleinen Schwester singt. Isolation Years bleiben ihrem Sound treu und machen durch noch dichtere, sattere, strukturiertere und schön arrangierte Songs deutlich, dass die Band sich immer weiter entwickelt. Weiterhin überzeugt "It's Golden" durch eine sehr homogene und professionelle Produktion. Dafür zeichnete u.a. Pelle Gunnerfeldt von Fireside verantwortlich. Nach Veröffentlichung ihres Debüts war die Band unentwegt auf Clubtour. Sie spielten aber auch mit The (International) Noise Conspiracy und als Support von Motorpsycho. Aussdem waren sie auf grösseren Festivals wie dem Stickman Festival, Glitterhouse Festival und Konkurrent Festival in Amsterdam zu Gast.
