Life's a Celebration
The inspiration for this album formed alongside personal and world events of the past decade, beginning with the conception of my first grandchild, Rylee Kae, shortly before 9/11 and the wars and contentious elections that left us all feeling Abused. From this Depth of Silence arose a new generation of challenges, and, thankfully for me, balancing fulfillment with arrival of five beautiful grandchildren, spread across the continent, from Michigan to the Aleutian Chain. This recording is dedicated to them - including a miscarried Little Child - and it is a celebration of the seasons and stories of my life. I have bloomed like Alaska's magenta fireweed, nourished by volcanic ash and the midnight sun, I have ridden Dark Horses through the stormy shadows of spring, I have pedaled my bike past Eklutna Lake's stunning mountain terrain, and I have danced through cottonwood forests down my Tundra Road.- Shop: odax
