I'm Mel and I am a student with 5 years of experience taking care of children (ages 0-11) and children-related household chores, part-time. I am a neurodivergent adult who is creative and energetic, and always inspired by children. I don't believe in children being difficult, I believe different children have different needs, and as adults, we must be able to interpret and fulfill those needs. On a more personal note, I am involved in social activism and enjoy reading up on Intersectional Feminism, Anti-ableism, Anti-racism, and Anthropology....and more than a few fantasy novels to feed my inner child. I very much enjoy any time spent in nature, and from a babysitter´s point of view, nature never fails to offer entertainment and fun learning experiences, which has often given me the chance to "kill two birds with one stone" :) and enjoy myself while watching and entertaining the little ones. Last but not least, I have forever loved the "arts and crafts", I often draw and craft in my spare time, and handcrafting with children is always very inspiring to me! (I guess I could joke babysitting sometimes serves my own artistic interest in this sense).
