Consciously Creating Wellness
The external world is so stimulating. The images that we take in through our eyes, ears and other senses influence our state of mind. Never before in the history of mankind have there been so many ways to multitask and connect with others through media and technology. At times, it can overstimulate to the point that we feel like we're on overdrive, unable to be calm, think, rest, or even sleep. This music meditation guides your focus inward to create a quiet environment of healing and wellness within. Inspiring music was composed specifically to calm your spirit, quiet your inner world and gently encourage healing images to develop. Guided narration activates your creative imagination to help reestablish balance, well-being and a sense of inner harmony. Created by music therapist/counselor/guided imagery & music specialist Louise Dimiceli-Mitran, this narration and the music that frames it has been tested over time with clients and patients. Follow the directions and you will be meditating your way to wellness. The focus is first on conscious breathing, followed by the image of relaxing light and color flowing through your body. Then imagine that the liquids, foods, medications or supplements that you take into your body help to support, nourish, replenish and build your immune system. Finally, relax and meditate with music only, created specifically to support your images and bring you to a deep sense of peace. You may invite other images of healing, health or wellness to come into your awareness such as warmth, love, a healthy immune system or focus on a specific part of the body. Your imagination is limitless so be creative! Then allow the images to flow as the music continues. Use this recording daily as a tool to create optimal wellness. Louise Dimiceli-Mitran, MA, MT-BC, LPC, FAMI, has 14 years of experience as a Board-Certified Music Therapy]ist. She is also a counselor, musician, singer, drum circle facilitator and songwriter. Louise incorporates Guided Imagery & Music, mandalas, and counseling into her music psychotherapy work, wellness workshops and presentations. She maintains a private practice in Chicago and also is a music therapy oncology specialist at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. She is co-owner of Mitran Mitran Music in Chicago. Uppers, Downers, Screamers & Howlers
Grande´s debut album "Uppers, Downers, Screamers & Howlers" is out now! The album was awarded a "Spellemann" - the Norwegian equivalent of Grammy! - "Uppers, Downers, Screamers & Howlers" is my way of cavorting with the gramophone heroes from the first half of the 20th century USA. "We Did It All", "Do What You Do!" and "Got Your Number" are inspire by dirty "negro rock" from the USA's deep south, with musicians such as Link Wray, Mickey Baker, Professor Longhair and Lightnin´ Hopkins, but also flirting with Bootsy, Clinton and Co."Rhythms Of Sin" is a dedication to Duke Ellington, Chick Webb, Gene Krupa and the guys who stomped like devils in their Battle of Bands at Harlem's Savoy Ballroom in the 20s- and 30s."The Brotherhood Killings" is ballroom nostalgia and slow dancing, the soundtrack of a film that never saw the screen. "Leather Jacket Satan" is also a sentimental tribute made for all of the men I´ve seen over a late-night snack at a gas station after a gig. I feel sorry for "Leather Jacket Satan". "Reverend Falcon" is inspired by Osvaldo Fresedo and my fascination for proud Argentinian tango. Norwegian-American reverends are common in the south of Norway proving that "Nobody can spread more darkness that those who have seen the light." "And I Was Lonely" and "Shine" are my blues tracks. I have tried to steer one towards delta blues as played by Bukka White, Son House and Robert Johnson (Shine). Johnny Guitar Watson inspired "And I Was Lonely". "Forever Brother" is a bluesy hymn based on an idea rooted in the mourning marches of the New Orleans Orchestra Eureka. The white blues-inspired guys who lived and ended their lives in fast rides in the 50s and made rock´n roll from blues and country & western are also a great influence. "The Legend of Eddie & James" is dedicated to the greatest rock guitarist of the 50s, Eddie Cochran. And all the other legends who rode like they played. Jedes Jahr kommt ein Schüler der Abschlussklasse auf brutale Art und Weise ums Leben.Die diesjährige Absolventin Chrissie (Bella Heathcote) sieht die Sache skeptisch, denn an etwas Übernatürliches will sie nicht glauben.
