How to Deal with Crazy People: The Ultimate Survival Guide on How to Deal with the Psychopath, Sociopath, Narcissist and Other Disturbed People , Hörbuch, Digital, ungekürzt, 215min
We've all seen them. The people who walk to the beat of a different drummer. We've shook our heads and wondered just what they were thinking and why they do what they are doing. We've puzzled over their behaviors, questioned them and in some cases asked them to stop an annoying behavior but they quickly fall right back into the same patterns. It's great when we can watch from afar and not have to deal with these unusual people or we can just close up shop and walk the other way, but unfortunately, these people are a part of our world and cannot be avoided. These crazy people could be in our immediate families or at work. We encounter them at school and at the store, no matter where we go we cannot avoid their crazy behaviors, odd views and somewhat eccentric behaviors. In his book entitled How To Deal With Crazy People author James Wilcox examines in great detail the different types of crazy people that you may encounter in your life and how to deal with them if they cross your path. This list of crazy people includes the following: The Psychopath The Sociopath The Narcissist The people who suffer from: Bipolar disorder Multiple personality disorder Neuroses Hypochondria Post-traumatic stress disorder Avoidant personality disorder Borderline personality disorder Schizotypal personality disorder Passive aggressive behavior Mild autism Depression ADHD Obsessive compulsive disorder Eating disorders And many other disturbances! ungekürzt. Healing Your Attachment Wounds: How to Create Deep and Lasting Intimate Relationships, Hörbuch, Digital, 366min
Why do we experience recurring struggles in our relationships? And why do traumatic events - such as a physical injury, emotional threat, loss of a loved one, or other life crisis - so often awaken or amplify our sense of fear, anger, isolation, or helplessness? From our earliest years, teaches Diane Poole Heller, we develop an attachment style that follows us through life, replaying in our intimate relationships, with our children, and at work. And traumatic events can deeply affect that core relational blueprint. With Healing Your Attachment Wounds, a pioneer in attachment theory and trauma resolution brings together these two fields to help us understand and benefit from their complementary principles and methods. This in-depth audio learning program sheds light on the three styles of insecure attachment - Avoidant, Ambivalent, and Disorganized - and the ideal fourth style of Secure attachment, where we enjoy a foundation of safety, adaptability, and intimacy with others. The good news is that we can change, regardless of our early or current life experiences. "As we heal and move toward Secure attachment," teaches Heller, "we become aware of triggers and patterns in our relationships. Our nervous system learns to be more regulated. Things don't throw us off so easily. And we open our capacity to love and experience greater compassion." Through key principles, examples, and practical exercises, this program invites you to begin your own healing journey toward healthy vulnerability, wholeness, and connection with others. Easy Ways to Engage Your Child: A Guide to Child Engagement - Baby, Toddler, Preschool and Elementary School Years: Transcend Mediocrity Book 17 , Hörbuch, Digital, ungekürzt, 19min
Everywhere you look, parents and children are busy with their smartphones and their laptops. The children are playing video games or using apps on their iPod. We are glued to the television set, We sleep with our phone on the nightstand. There is hardly a moment where some parents opt to put down our electronics or delay our chores with the intent to properly engage our kids. We assume that our children are learning from the television and from the gadgets that we give them, but we don't realize that there is a whole world of skills that they aren't learning while their eyes are glued to the screen. The reality is that we are setting our children up for failure by not engaging them and teaching them the skills that they will need far into their adult lives. The bitter truth is that our lack of engagement with our children can actually cause them to form an eccentric personality, or even a personality disorder later in life. Some of the most difficult people are plagued with anti-social or conduct disorders, obsessive compulsive personality disorder ('perfectionism disease'), borderline personality disorder, and schizoid or avoidant personality disorders. Many of these personality disorders that cause a person to struggle through life have a 'learned' from childhood component to them. The children who grow into adults with these personality disorders may experience relationship and work problems, difficulty coping with stresses in life, parenting struggles, and depression. Some of these individuals go on to have significant addiction problems, or may even attempt or commit suicide. ungekürzt. Language: English. Narrator: D Gaunt. Crush OCPD: Help for Couples Hindered by Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder: Transcend Mediocrity, Book 92 , Hörbuch, Digital, ungekürzt, 25min
Many of my readers and listeners write to me asking how to better help their spouse or partner who has OCPD. After writing my book on OCPD - 35 Underlying Causes of OCPD, I jumped directly into researching everything that I could in order to help these couples to find a way to grow together. I knew some of the steps that helped OCPD couples because of my own experiences in growing and learning with my OCPD/Aspie spouse, but I wanted to find a much more "big picture" way to approach and "cure" or lessen OCPD tendencies. While doing my research, I stumbled across information on different types of monkeys and apes which explained the various types of brains and levels of empathy, emotional maturity, and social skills that are evident in society today. There are three types of great apes that are said to relate to the different types of personality disorders that are evident if you look at the human race and normal human behaviors. The concept is that the Bonobo apes represent the humans who have traits and tendencies typical of avoidant personality disorder and dependent personality disorder. The chimpanzees represent antisocial personality disorder, narcissistic personality disorder, borderline personality disorder, and histrionic personality disorders. The last subset of apes that fell on the chart are the orangutans, which are largely representative of paranoid, schizoid, and schizotypal personality disorders. The purpose of looking at this link between human and apes is that it is possible that the differences in human empathy, social skills, and personality are not so much "abnormal" as they are simply slightly more primitive and animalistic in nature.... Essentially, these personality traits that we are classifying as "abnormal" are actually somewhat normal range. ungekürzt. Language: English. Narrator: D Gaunt.
