El descriptor de color, la media y la desviación estándar se calculan a partir de muestras que se comparan con los parámetros definidos previamente. La entropía y la correlación del parámetro de textura se calculan a partir de diferentes conjuntos de imágenes de la base de datos. Si la puntuación de coincidencia está por debajo del umbral, la imagen de la moneda de entrada se clasifica como billete falso. De lo contrario, la moneda es auténtica. El enfoque de procesamiento de imágenes es muy útil para la clasificación de diferentes tipos de moneda.
