Al-Qur’an dan Al-Kitab lebih popular dari nama-nama lainnya. Dalam hal ini, Muhammad Abdullah Darraz berkata, “Dinamakan Al-Qur’an karena ia dibaca dengan lisan, dan dinamakan Al-Kitab karena ia ditulis dengan pena. Kedua nama ini menunjukkan makna yang relevan sekali dengan kenyatannya.” Sifatnya Al-Qur’an di antaranya: Nur ( An Nisa’: 174), Huda, Syifa’, Rahmah ( yunus: 57 ), Mubin ( Al Maidah:57), Mubarak ( Al Anam: 92), Busyra ( Al Baqarah: 97), Aziz ( Fussilat: 41), Majid ( Al Buruj: 21), Basyir ( Fussilat : 3-4). The Noble Quran, the last revealed word of God, is the primary source of every Muslim’s faith and practice. It deals with all the subjects which concern human beings: wisdom, doctrine, worship, transactions, law, etc., but its basic theme is the relationship between God and His creatures.
