.Kota is Nathan Widener (former SeventyThree) on vocals and guitar, Justin Williams on drums, and Cory Boisoneau on bass. The trio first played together in Dossier, a five piece conglomeration, in and around Seattle of 2006. Breaking under the pressure of impending stardom, Williams up and moved to Scotland to wander the hills, where he became well known for fighting wild sheep and his beautiful renditions at 'Clint Black' karaoke night in a brilliant little Inverness pub. His blood-thirst having been finally quenched, Williams moved back to Seattle in late 2009--once again joining and completing Widener and Boisoneau on their eternal quest of bringing musically respectable rock back to the Indie Seattle music scene. The culmination of those efforts birthed the band '.Kota', named after a musical term of a different spelling, and for Boisoneau's late German Shepherd who passed away during formation of the band-a fitting tribute for a great friend and to great friends.- Shop: odax
