This carefully crafted ebook: "African Novels: Premium Collection of ALL 12 Novels" is formatted for your eReader with a functional and detailed table of contents. Edgar Wallace (1875-1932) was an English writer. During 1907 Edgar travelled to the Congo Free State, to report on atrocities committed against the Congolese under King Leopold II of Belgium and the Belgian rubber companies, in which up to 15 million Congolese were killed. Isabel Thorne of the Weekly Tale-Teller penny magazine, invited Wallace to serialise stories inspired by his experiences. These were published as his first collection Sanders of the River (1911), a best seller, in 1935 adapted into a film with the same name, starring Paul Robeson. Wallace went on to publish 11 more similar collections (102 stories). They were tales of exotic adventure and local tribal rites, set on an African river, mostly without love interest as this held no appeal for Wallace. His first 28 books and their film rights he sold outright, with no royalties, for quick money. Table of Contents: Sanders of the River (1911) The People of the River (1911) The River of Stars (1913) Bosambo of the River (1914) Bones (1915) The Keepers of the King's Peace (1917) Lieutenant Bones (1918) Bones in London (1921) Sandi the Kingmaker (1922) Bones of the River (1923) Sanders (1926) Again Sanders (1928)

Cybercrime constitutes in general a factor of underdevelopment to the Congolese national economy; curiously, it is likely to cause several victims when it is the work of those in charge of a certain category of people, in this case, certain officers of our army. For this reason, only the best justice is desirable in order to separate the parties, to promote a social balance between the general interest and the private economy and to give to each one according to his merit in accordance with our penal legislation, both civil and military.

Bruno Salvador has worked on clandestine missions before. A highly skilled interpreter, he is not a stranger to the Official Secrets Act. But this is the first time he has been asked to change his identity – and, worse still, his clothes – in service of his country. Whisked to a remote island to interpret a top-secret conference between no-name financiers and Congolese warlords, Salvo’s excitement is only heightened by memories of the night before he left London, and his life-changing encounter with a beautiful nurse named Hannah. Exit suddenly, the unassuming, happily married man Salvo believed himself to be. Enter in his place, the pseudonymous Brian Sinclar: spy, lover and perhaps, even, hero. ungekürzt. Language: English. Absolute power breeds absolute corruption. While former Marine lieutenant Robin Duncan is no stranger to corruption or conspiracy, she has always been able to tell the good guys from the bad. At first, her current assignment is no different: working on behalf of an international corporation to secure a valuable Congo mining region from the attacks of an insurgent killer. But as her security team tries to track down their target, Robin has to face a man who broke her trust years ago, and she discovers the gray areas extend further in this jungle wilderness than she anticipated. A ruthless global conspiracy begins to surface, run by powerful men who can’t afford to leave any witnesses. Her life at stake, Robin doesn’t know whom to trust and wonders how she can help protect the Congolese people. Why is God silent amid all the pain and injustice? And how do these people of faith continue to rejoice in their suffering? ungekürzt. Language: English. Narrator: Brooke Sanford Heldman. Based on actual events in Tamar Myers's life, The Girl Who Married an Eagle is a beautiful addition to her Belgian Congo mystery series. When Julia Elaine Newton, a young, pretty Ohio girl, volunteered to go on a mission to the Belgian Congo, she knew it was going to be a huge change. But she never expected to wind up teaching at an all-girls boarding school that consisted mostly of runaway child brides!Much to her chagrin, Buakane was born beautiful. If only she'd been ugly, Chief Eagle would not have noticed her. Escaping from an arranged marriage, the scrappy young girl finds her way to Julia Newton and the school. But this time her jilted husband will not be denied. Now it's up to Julia and Buakane to try to save the school as Congolese independence looms and Chief Eagle is set on revenge. With the help of Cripple, Cripple's husband, and even Amanda Brown, these plucky women must learn to save themselves. ungekürzt. Language: English. Narrator: Molly Elston.
