Faith, hope, and love are the foundation of the Christian faith. Every new Christian ought to be intimately conversant with what their belief is built on, and every seasoned Christian ought to occasionally remind themselves. This book does exactly that. It addresses these three tenets of our faith and the interaction between all three, and how to practically apply them in our lives. ungekürzt. Language: English. Narrator: Ryan Whiting. Traditionally, the voice of the Psalms is the biblical King David's, a voice of a man in the world, a man of action, a king involved in all the aspects of governing his people. He is the most human and realistic of kings, but also conversant with the divine. These readings praise God, warn enemies, repent mistakes, and bless good times. If you are looking for ways to help you "think big" in your own executive role, whether in a corporate or a household setting, you will appreciate Psalms for Leaders. ungekürzt. Language: English. FNH Audio presents an audio version of this book first published in 1908. The true story of witchcraft in old Connecticut has never been told. It has been hidden in the ancient records and in manuscripts in private collections, and those most conversant with the facts have not made them known, for one reason or another. It is herein written from authoritative sources, and should prove of interest and value as a present-day interpretation of that strange delusion, which for a half century darkened the lives of the forefathers and foremothers of the colonial days. ungekürzt. Montreal is the largest city in the Quebec province. While Quebec City is the capital, Montreal is the cultural and economic center, and the main entry point to the province. With 1.7 million citizens in the city proper and four million in the urban area, Montreal is Canada's second largest city, and the second-largest French-speaking (as a mother language) city in the world, behind Paris. Still, a quarter of the population speak English as a mother language, and most Francophones are conversant in English. Old Montreal has a heritage of colonial times. Though a large city, Montreal gives opportunities for outdoor life, as well as watching the legendary Montreal Canadiens ice hockey team. ungekürzt. Language: English. Narrator: Andrew S. Baldwin. Surprisingly, one of the more lucid insights on the philosophy of the Tibetan Book of the Dead comes from a Hindu mystic, named Baba Faqir Chand, who apparently was not familiar with the original Tibetan text or its English translation. Although Faqir was not conversant with the Bardo Thotrol, he was nevertheless steeped in its philosophy as taught to him by his guru, Shiv Brat Lal of Gopiganj. Faqir Chand, like his lama counterparts, spent much of his life in meditation, attempting to consciously go through the dying process in order to prepare himself for his final exit. However, unlike others of his kind, Faqir left a detailed account of his some 70-plus years of meditation (ranging from three to 12 hours daily) which led up to his enlightenment. The result is a richly detailed account which provides a thorough understanding of how inner visions and the like are projected in the intermediate stages between life and death. ungekürzt.
