    PROLOG44 Mit PROLOG44 haben sich im Spätsommer 2019 drei Musiker, Felix Lothar und Olli, aus dem südlichen Berliner Umland zusammengefunden um mit gitarrenlastigen, akzentuierten Sounds, rhythmischem Bass und einem treibenden Schlagzeug, ein Fundament zu legen, dass Ihre eigenen deutschsprachigen Songs trägt. Durch Spielspaß und Energie getragen hört es sich nach authentischer Indie Rock/Pop Musik an, die einem nicht nur zuhören lässt, sondern auch ins Bein geht. Die daraus resultierende erste EP Jugendclub aus dem Jahr 2020 spiegelt den Beginn der Band wieder.Im Jahr 2021 fand und gestaltete sich die Band neu. Neue Songs entstanden welche im Herbst 2021 in historischer Stätte, im Studio in Berlin Kreuzberg, aufgenommen wurden. Die Veröffentlichung dieser Songs in Form einer neuen EP ist für dieses Jahr geplant. ...ihr dürft gespannt sein!!!KlangapartMach schon weiter, denn ich spür` nichts so schreien Klangapart kraftvoll auf ihrer Debüt-EP Entität den Hörenden entgegen. Dabei wirkt dieser Ausdruck geradezu wie ein Dysphemismus in Anbetracht der Emotionalität, die in ihren Werken mitschwingt. Kauernde Melancholie zerborsten durch lodernde Rhythmen erschaffen eine durch Berge und Täler vermittelte Stimmung, die an Empfindungen nicht mangelt. Ich will nichts fühlen und bin trotzdem dabei, äußert diese von Klangapart geschaffene Ambivalenz noch mehr. Während egozentrische Kühle der Worte mit der tanzbaren Leichtigkeit der Musik verschmelzen, ertappen sich Zuhörende im Dilemma des eigenen Lebens. So beschäftigt sich die Musik zum einen mit dem lethargischen Ausmaß persönlicher Konflikte bis hin zum melancholischen Trauern eigener Verluste, aber auch mit Schöpfung von Energien aus eben diesen Problematiken. Dieser Wirbel aus Empfindung, Atmosphäre, Worten und Schreien schafft ein Klangbild, welches Klangapart selbst als Apartrock bezeichnet. Es wird schon besser zu verstehen, wer wir sind bleibt wohl das Motto dieser Band. Nur wer sich mit seinen tiefsten Problemen auseinandersetzt, wird erkennen, wer er wirklich ist. Ein hörbar gemachter Spiegel unser aller selbst, den sie 2022 live auf die Bühnen Deutschlands bringen. ELKVILLA Das australisch-isländische Duo Elkvilla aus Berlin macht Musik in Richtung Singer-Songwriter, Folky, Post-Rock. Gegründet wurde das Projekt von Adam Dudek, Musiker und Produzent in Sydney. Später lernten sich Adam und Valgeir Einarsson in einer Berliner Kneipe kennen und spielen seither zusammen. Die EP Strangers wurde in Adams Studio in Berlin aufgenommen, während Valgeir den Bass und den Background-Gesang in seinem Elternhaus in Reykjavik einspielte. Elkvilla bezieht seine Einflüsse von Künstlern wie Elliot Smith, Daughter, Ben Howard und Sigur Rós sowie von der rauen isländischen Natur und den Küsten Australiens.

Erscheint auf dem Label von Scoobius Pip. Ruhig, akustisch, arachaisch, atmosphärisch & tief. Oh No. The Drift Of The World is a debut album that doesn't feel the need to shout loudly. In fact, it's probably one of the most stirringly intimate records you'll hear all year, a collection of bluesy, folky acoustic songs largely consisting of guitar and hushed, smoky voice, performed by the somewhat mysterious Jackamo Brown. The album comes in two 18-minute parts, with ambient recordings linking and running through the tracks. It's an anti-shuffle record, its mood, feel and ethos coming from another, simpler time. Recorded and produced YILA at Empire Studios in Hackney and mastered by Mandy Parnell at Black Saloon. The recording was basic: just a mic gaffer taped to Brown's guitar, a mic for his vocals and some room mics for capturing the street noise bleeding in through open windows and the guitar and organ that feature on three tracks. Further ambient sounds were recorded after the session by Jackamo in his local area. Influenced by Bert Jansch, Dylan and Arthur Lee, whose Five String Serenade is covered on the album, Brown began recording music seven years ago, having written songs in private for years before that. Many of the tracks on the album date back to that time. The most dominant theme from the listener's perspective, I think, is of love lost or relinquished, says Brown. There are other cheery subjects like death and alienation thrown in too, as well as quiet nods to Russian Literature and Lorem Ipsum. The idea of releasing the tracks did not come naturally to the reluctant performer. I never had any intention of pursuing a music career, says Brown. I still have no real desire to earn a living through music, or earn a living at all really. I have some issues with selling your art but there is enough distance between me now and the Jackamo of the songs and I jumped at the opportunity to give them a physical form.The offer to do so came from Scroobius Pip, who releases the album on his Speech Develpment Records label. In the age of everyone knowing everything about everyone I was weirdly excited by the fact that, if you Google Jackamo Brown you find very little, says the poet/rapper. As a fan of his work, I wanted to get some of his music recorded together, in one collection and as one piece. Outside of music, Jackamo Brown occasionally works in libraries. I always choose time over money and so spend the majority of my time dedicated to philosophy, literature and music and convincing myself that poverty is noble. I studied philosophy to post-graduate level and I am about ready to start work on a book. One thing you shouldn't expect to see is Jackamo Brown performing live. I have never wanted the particular sort of attention that goes with a stage performance or the applause of a crowd (assuming anyone might applaud), he says. I did a live session of sorts for Jon Hillcock and played a live set at the Leigh Folk Festival in order to be sure I was not just rationalising a fear of performing live. Originally released on CD back in 2013, Nick had had the pleasurable experience of recording stints with such highly acclaimed musicians as Lana Del Rey, Newton Faulkner and Steven Wilson, this brought about the Riven recordings. It's a typically eclectic mix of songs and styles, but with a light and a dark side, split down the middle by the title track. So, up front we have 6 minute songs like 'Juicy Fruit Girl' - a staccato paean to late 20th century popular culture with a witty look at things like Postman's Knock, along with 'Love Is Due' a rambling acoustic love story set around baggage in airports and beyond, to lighter tunes like 'Sunshine' inspired by the birth of Harper's son and that round shiny thing recently a feature in the sky in the UK. On the darker side Harper lurches into a visceral strident attack on Kelvin Mackenzie in 'Plague of Toads' and swings a cynical folky kick in the nuts to Nick Clegg in 'The Incredible Melting Man'. In essence it is the work of an artist given free reign to express himself outside the confines of the 'music business' devoid of compromise and led by artistic whims rather than commercial dictates. With Tchad Blake producing (Tom Waits, Peter Gabriel, Crowded House, etc.) and Jeremy Stacey on drums (Noel Gallagher, Waterboys, Sheryl Crow etc.) and guest appearances from Jon Leveller (Levellers), Jakko Jakszyk (King Crimson,Level 42) Lily Harper (Roy's grand-daughter), the legendary invisible Aussie rock singer Dave Graney and vocal ar-rangements by composer Ben Jones RIVEN has a rich, lush sound throughout, but never loses focus on Nick's trademark soaring vocals and blistering (mainly acoustic) guitar work.     Jill Koch (cook) is an independent singer/songwriter from Kansas who has performed with various groups over the years, as a vocalist and writer. In December 2007-Jill finished her second solo recording, "Sweet Abdication" featuring songs she has collaborated on with various bands/ artists, as well as exploring and expanding musically,writing with guitar. This album longs to speak to the soul of such things as: love, expectation, forgiving, and giving up the "fetish" of self. Musically, the songs on this project have an acoustic rock feel, with a few folky songs. Jill's first album "Big Scary World" is an acoustic rock set including 12 songs of truth that seek to inspire the culture to look beyond themselves. Featuring the first recording of "Most High" and title cut "Big Scary World." In January 2003, Jill teamed up with Kelly Liebengood, and Brice Ash, formerly of the KC band "Beggars Table", to release a 13 cut album called "deep with You." The album contains original songs written by Kelly and Jill as well as three hymns with new arrangements by Kelly. Brice adds amazing instrumental work on the album. Kelly's vocals have been compared to "Creed", and the feel of the album is acoustic rock with gutsy vocals, with a slight "twang" here and there. " I don't consider myself a performer, it is actually quite a task for me to get ready for shows, mentally with much self-doubt and physically, just finding the time to prepare. Plus,that kind of life just doesn't lend itself to family life, unless you're the Partridge Family.(and they seemed a little dysfunctional Ha Ha!) Yet what performing that I have done, I have been very grateful for, and so grateful to all the musicians who have made my songs come to life. I love to hear when people tell me they connect with one of my songs . . . and that, after all, is what it's all about. I love how the internet has made it possible for indie artists to share their music.
