Bulldozer
Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Kevin Devine (Bad Books, Kevin Devine and the Goddamn Band), announces the release of the highly anticipated dual release of Bulldozer and Bubblegum (previously known as LP7 and LP 8, respectively). Bubblegum, produced by Brand New's Jesse Lacey, is a proper rock band record, a sound evolved from Devine s early days in Miracle of 86, a charging record loaded with feedback, overdriven guitars and unexpectedly memorable hooks. The twelve songs on Bubblegum create a hard-driving, angular, and mature indie rock sound. Set to Pixie-like guitar riffs and socially conscious, politically bombastic lyrics, as evident on Fiscal Cliff, this is a side of Devine that screams and shouts itself over the feedback. Nobel Prize is a head-bouncing intro that captures the record s relentless energy. Private First Class, based on the imprisonment of Bradley Manning for leaking classified documents in Iraq, is a surf/punk anthem of the highest-measure. But even high-octane rock records need to slow down, and Devine does so on tracks like I Can t Believe You and Red Bird without losing consistency or steam. The Goddamn Band s musicianship is provided by Mike Fadem (drums) and Mike Strandberg (guitar), with a debt to Lacey who also steps in on bass and percussion, and backup vocals. TRACKS:- Shop: odax

Guenevere
"...catchy and beautiful and brilliant" -Vague Space '...if Noah Lennox spent his childhood at the Renaissance Fair and hung out with a lot of classical musicians and Alec Onsworth.' -Elena Levin, Elephantitis "definitely an act to keep an eye on" -Oceans Never Listen 'All the fucking hipsters or whatever you call them in your respective country will be bumming this band pretty soon.' -No Name-Bebop 'The band's quirky pop-rock-esque sound has caught the ear of a number of music aficionados, and catching them in such a small venue this early in their career should be a real treat...' -Capital Sounds '..one of the best bands I've heard this year.' -Assorted Jazzbeans '...recalls images of Neutral Milk Hotel and Grizzly Bear... a unique sonic experience.' -B3nson Recording Group 'It is only a question of time until they sign to some credible label and are given even more appreciation.' -Let's Pretend We're Bunny Rabbits [Sweden] 'These guys deliever... Guenevere even sounds like it wouldn't be out of place on The Aeroplane Over The Sea... It's a bit lazy to call this folk, it feels more than that, this almost sounds like what I wanted Arcade Fire to sound like...' -These Archives Are Monuments 'Take a pinch of Neutral Milk Hotel's bracing songcraft, add hefty helpings of sonic whitewash à la Sigur Ros, pepper that with a sprinkling of Polyphonic Spree-esque irreverence, and you have something roughly approximating The Crown Vandals. The freakier-than-thou duo has generated a healthy amount of buzz in it's adopted hometown of Montréal, eliciting comparisons to each of the three aforementioned acts as well as freak-folk's reigning weirdo Devendra Banhart.' -Seven Day Vermont The two Tims - Beeler and Keen - are from opposite sides of the world, and following a chance meeting in Montreal their quirky freak-folk-pop-rock music has quickly caught the public eye. Within weeks of recording, their music received attention from blogs and critics all over the world, including Said The Gramophone. With an average age of 19, these two young musicians have insight and ability beyond their years. Hailing from the rustic hillsides of Southern New Hampshire, Tim Beeler's (vocals/acoustic guitar) catchy acoustic tunes draw on his folk roots while his cryptic and inventive lyricism--as well as his curious third nipple--put the "freak" in "freak-folk." Tim was raised by wolves, giving him his characteristic "wolf-like" lisp. While this speech impediment is quite obvious (and debilitating) in conversation, it does not affect him while he is singing. Tim is forced to sing his everyday conversations in order to avoid constant humiliation. He hopes to someday return to his wolf kind. Tim Keen (violin/drums/bass/synth/backing vocals) is a long way from home. A native of Melbourne, Australia, Tim, despite being only 19, has 14 years of classical training in as many instruments as you can name. As a young violinist and percussionist, he has played solo, in bands, and in orchestras on stages all over Australia. As well as his extensive solo work, which is influenced by Dirty Three, Sufjan Stevens and Radiohead, he has composed and performed scores for plays ranging in style from Shakespeare to postmodernism. As hard as it may be to believe, he was not cool in high school. He was recently described by two separate blogs as "from New Zealand". Influenced equally by the quirky, overdriven folk of Elephant 6 bands, the violin stylings of the Dirty Three, the gripping lyricism of Destroyer and Jeff Mangum, combined with a penchant for sing-alongs, catchy melodies, and evocative vocals, The Crown Vandals do folk like no-one else.- Shop: odax

Terapia de Grupo
The main feature of "Terapia de Grupo" is a balanced mixture of different musical styles: from pure rock riffs and melodies, to electronic influenced sound streams, passing through funk and progressive details that make it a "must listen" record for every music lover, disregarding their musical preferences. In this 11 track album (plus 2 remix tracks) the listener can travel from some groovy-funky rhythms like Diet Clo, to virtuous heavy compositions like No me Culpes. The addition of a hip-hop influenced song (Debes Entender) gives a pleasant unexpected surprise to the listener. Concerning instrumental performance, the delicate synthesizer arrangements using a wide range of effects complement perfectly with the powerful guitar that gives weight to each one of the songs. Bass and drums influenced by the ones like the Red Hot Chili Peppers, give the rhythm section an interesting flavor and an undeniable punch and feel. The main voice -upfront- ranges from the very dry overdriven tones of 'Debes entender', to the more melodic and deep voice of 'Esto no se termino'. For Spanish speaking listeners, the elaborated lyrics narrate everyday experiences that everyone can feel related to, going from a light and almost humorous mood (Diet Clo) to the more introspective and deep emotions of real life problems (Irreal). Despite of the different musical styles present in the record, the songs coexist in a comfortable way, giving this album a sense of journey, one that we invite you to join. Drclo.- Shop: odax
